There is no respect of persons with God.(Ro.2:4-11)

A. Please do not take Gods riches goodness for granted!

   1. Do not despise Gods riches goodness, forbearance, longsuffering!

One must know Gods goodness, forbearance, is to give people time to make up their

mind to depart from their evil ways and return to the path of righteousness! (Ro.2:4)

   2. Hardness and impenitent heart treasures up for yourself the wrath of God in the day of

      judgment! (Ro.2:5)

Make no mistake about this following statement:

God will render to every man according to his works: Ro.2:6

   3. To them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption,

      eternal life: Ro.2:7

   4. To them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and

indignation, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man that worked evil, Ro.2:8-9

   5. But glory and honor and peace to every man that worked good. 2:10

For there is no respect of persons with God. Ro.2:11

B. Why are Christians always busy? (2 Thes.3:6-16)

   1. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you to keep away from every brother who

is disorderly and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. 3:6

When all three names of Christ was invoked that always means the instruction has to be

      carried out!

Disorderly here in this verse means one who failed to regulate his life to a prescribed

set of rules. This was their teaching about excommunication from the church!

   2. You ought to imitate us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you. We dont

eat anyones food without paying for it.3:7-8

   3. We did this to make us a model for you to follow. (2 Thes.3:9)

   4. When we were with you, we gave you this rule: If a man will not work, he shall not eat.

   5. We command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to those who are disorderly to settle down

and earn the bread they eat.2 Thes.3:12

   6. As for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right. 3:13

If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take note of him.

Do not associate with him, in order he may feel ashamed.

Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother. 3:14-15

C. Why Christians must not love money? (1 Tim.6:9-12)

   1. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and an trap and into many foolish and

harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 6:9

   2. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some eager for money, have

wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grief. 6:10

   3. You, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love,

endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life

to which you were called when you made your good confession. 1 Tim.6:11-12

May the Lord bless you and keep you!  Feb., 8, 2008.
