Salvation is not for hop around people!
A. Recently I had a chance to talk about the Bible with an 85 year old gentleman.
1. Having believed Jesus all of his life! He was taught to hop around in the Bible!
Such as--> What must I do to be saved? Acts 16:30
You must believe the Lord Jesus, you and your family will be saved! Acts 16:31
He thought this means one person in a family believes Jesus the whole family will be saved!
2. I asked him to read on to Acts 16:32-33 then he found the message should be this way-->
For he and his family to be saved, he and his whole family have to hear the word of the Lord.
He and his family must believe Jesus, repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of their sins!
3. Then he said, all these years this never dawn to him before!
B. I know he will hop around many other scriptures like this too!
1. John 1:12--> Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name,
he gave the right to become children of God.
They say: This verse says--> If you believe and receive Jesus into your heart be the Lord of your life.
You are a child of God, thus you are saved.
2. The saved thief on the cross is their favor example!
He said: Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Luke 23:42
Jesus replied: I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise. Luke 23:43
3. How do men think people can make 19 years old teen agers to post a name tag that say:
I am, elder so and so! Scientific psychology will tell you, it take thorough brain washing!
C. Why do so many people like this!
1. The disciples asked: Why do you speak to the people in parables? Matt.13:10
2. He replied: The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, not to them!
3. Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Matt.13:12
Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. Matt.13:12
4. Matt.13:12 is a forever reality in all human history!
50 years ago when I started preaching, I know a little.
Now I know more and continue to grow in knowledge of the truth in the Bible!
5. Why did Jesus speak to those people in parables? Matt.13:13-15
Please read these scriptures then you will know!
As I said often, if people on earth study the Bible like they study book on how to make money!
I know they will all know the truth in the Bible well enough to be saved without my help!
6. But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because the hear! Matt.13:16.

D. Salvation is for these people!
1. The word of God is written this way!
But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little;
that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
2. It takes time resources to gather all the pieces needed to fix together to make correct sense!
3, The hop around people will go and fall backward, be broken, snared and captured!
4. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself
and your hearers. 1 Tim.4:15-16
5. Do your best, give diligence, study to show yourself approved to God, a workman not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim.2:15
6. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;
and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities
in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-8
