A fixed goal for living.

Friday Bible study. April 10, 2015

Subject:  A constant fixed goal for living!

Everything is permissible for me -- but not everything is beneficial.

"Everything is permissible for me"– but I will not be mastered by anything. 1 Cor.6:12

They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—

for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. 2 Pet.2:19

1. A Christian’s life on earth has a constant fixed goal!

According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always,

(so) now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death. Phil.1:20

2. Conscience clear to God! I keep my conscience clear to God and to all!

Always remember, conscience is clear to God, not to myself and not to others only!

3. Nothing I do to others will put me to shame! Have you done anything to others that made you feel bad?

I have done nothing to disgrace God that counts!

For my conscience is clear to others, all I need to do is be a little better than others!

That is enough to make me feel that my conscience is clear to all others!

4. Nothing others do to me can put me to shame! Has anyone done anything upset you?

     Watch out how you respond!

How you respond tell a lot about you!

C. Dead or alive Christ shall be magnified in my body! Phil.1:20

What is “Christ shall be magnified in my body”?

My body live to glorify Christ by helping the church grow fast!

    Refuse lust of the body!

1. Let not sin reign in your body, do not obey the lusts of the body, neither present parts of your body to sin as struments of wickedness,

but present your body unto God, as alive from the dead as instruments of righteousness unto God.  Ro.6:12-13

2. For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if you live by the Spirit, you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Ro.8:13

    While living as a child of God, I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage;

lest by any means, afterI have preached to others, I myself should be rejected!  1 Co.9:27

People blame the preacher for their un-believe!

Because the preacher is bad that is why I had chosen not to believe!

By the way, please beware of this deadly mistake: Blame preacher for your un-believe in Jesus!

As Paul said here, a preacher can preach the truth but die in sin!

Those do what he preached can still be saved in heaven!

For they say, and do not!

    Jesus put it this way!

Then spoke Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples, saying,

scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses seat: Matt.23:1-5--> Do what they said.
Follow not what they do. all thing therefore whatsoever they bid you, do and observe:

but do not ye after their works for they say, and do not.

    Yea, they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders;

but they themselves will not move them with their finger.

for they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge borders of their garments…

3. Always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body! 2 Co.4:10

May people see our good life and give glory to our Father! Matt.5:16

4. Be a trust worthy person.

“Anyone claimed to be a believer of Jesus and is not a trust worthy person, his claim itself is a lie!”

Jesus said, liars are children of the evil one! Please don’t be fooled and don’t fool yourselves! John 8:44

5. Always remember:

One who is not trustworthy is not a Christian! Piety and integrity is the mark of a Christian! Eph.5:15

A saved person’s constant fixed goal in life is!

May the Lord bless you and keep you always!

“In nothing shall I be put to shame”.
