Subject: By works of the law shall no flesh be saved! Gal.2:16
1. Gal.2:16-->
Yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus,
that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
2. Eph.2:8-10--> For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
3. James 2:22-26--> You see that his faith and his works were working together, and his faith was made complete by his works.
And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.
4. Gal 3:10-12--> For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse:
for it is written: Cursed is every one who continues not in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.
Now that no man is justified by the law before God, is evident:
for, The righteous shall live by faith; and the law is not of faith; but, He that doeth them shall live in them.
5. Matt.5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
This correspond to Heb.3:10 the all things in Heb.3:10-12 perfectly!
This why salvation can only be found in Christ Jesus! Romans 6:23
Romans 6:23 says eternal life is a gift of God, this correspond to Eph.2:8-9.
Eternal life is a gift to be given in Christ! Not by works of the Old Testament law!
6. Matt.11:13--> For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.
7. Gal.3:22-26 -->
But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
So the law was put incharge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.
Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,
8. Heb.7:11-14 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people),
why was there still need for another priest to come-- one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?
For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law.
He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar.
For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.
9. Num 1:50 Instead, appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle of the Testimony-- over all its furnishings and everything belonging to it.
They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they are to take care of it and encamp around it.
Num 3:41 Take the Levites for me in place of all the firstborn of the Israelites,
and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites. I am the LORD."
Num 8:14 In this way you are to set the Levites apart from the other Israelites, and the Levites will be mine.
Num 8:18 And I have taken the Levites in place of all the firstborn sons in Israel.
Num 18:23-24 It is the Levites who are to do the work at the Tent of Meeting and bear the responsibility for offenses against it.
This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. They will receive no inheritance among the Israelites.
Instead, I give to the Levites as their inheritance the tithes that the Israelites present as an offering to the LORD.
That is why I said concerning them: `They will have no inheritance among the Israelites.'"
Num 18:26 "Speak to the Levites and say to them:
`When you receive from the Israelites the tithe I give you as your inheritance, you must present a tenth of that tithe as the LORD's offering.
10. Heb. 6:19-20 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf.
He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
11. Ro.6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12. Acts 13:43 When the congregation was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas,
who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.
May the Lord bless you and keep you always!
