Friday Bible Study. April 24, 2015.
1. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men! 1 Cor.15:19
If follow Jesus is only for this life, in what way we are to be pitied more than all men?
Apostle Paul gave up all things on earth he could have had for following Jesus and preach the gospel to all of us!
2. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 1 Cor.15:22
How in Adam all die and how in Christ all will be made alive?
Each is responsible for his own sin.
Each is responsible for his own faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 14:12, Eze,18:4, Rev.20:11-15.
3. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 1 Cor.15:26
What is the message you get from this verse?
There will be no death. All will live forever whether in heaven or in hell.
4. Fix these verses together and see what you get? John 6:54
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,
the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
5. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.
On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. John 6:27
What is the food that endures to eternal life? Spiritual food--> the word of God.
How does it work? Read it and do what it says in your daily living.
6. When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord;
and all who were appointed for eternal life believed. Acts 13:48
How do we know who are appointed for eternal life? Those who were glad and honored the word of the Lord.
The word of the Lord is what says in the New Testament Bible! Matt.11:13, John 16:12-14, 2 Peter 1:3
Do not listen to anyone who claim they had or having direct inspiration from God which are not yet recorded in the Bible!
What does believed mean originally in the Bible?
Study Acts 8:35-38 you will know preaching or telling about Jesus includes water baptism.
Study Acts 19:1-5 you will see 'believe Jesus' was originally a term that includes listen to preaching of the Lord's word, believe and confess Jesus is Lord and Christ.
Repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins. When they heard to believe Jesus, they were baptized!
Test yourself and all who try to teach you. See if they know these truth!
For Chinese it is like invite people to eat rice! Eat rice is a term represent a whole set of meal to eat not just eat rice only!
Quote some scriptures to support your point!
7. To whom does God give eternal life? Romans 2:7
***** To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

As I always say, others insist to hold on and practice what is not in the Bible. I can insist to hold on to what is in the Bible!
When others ask me questions I can just say, please read the Bible for yourself. I can understand you can too!
The point is always this, what I preach is what says in the Bible what others preach even the name of their church is not in the Bib le!
In Chinese culture, when the name is incorrect, everything else do not matter!

How do people take hold of eternal life?
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you
made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Tim.6:12
10. What must one do to take part in the resurrection from the dead?
Must stay in the Lord by being a part of the church of Christ as long as he or she shall live this life on earth.
11. Why do you think there is neither marriage nor given in marriage after dead of the body?
12. Is that a good thing to be in a place where one can no longer die?
If one is in paradise or heaven it is a good thing.
If one is in hades or hell it is a horrible thing!
In case you do not know, right now when people died they either in paradise or hades.
It is after final judgment, people will spend their eternity in heaven or hell. Rev.20:11-15
13. How does God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob explain God is the God of the living?
God is the I AM. This means to God there is always present tense!
14. How do you know that you have eternal life?
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that
you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13
One easiest way is answer this simple question! Are you a member of a church of Christ?
Church of Christ is the Body of Christ. Eph.1:22-23. Eternal life is in Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23
When you are in the church of Christ you are in the body of Christ. When you are in the Body of Christ. You are in Christ Jesus!
Anyone cannot understand this simple logic. I cannot help!
