Having favor with all the people! Acts 2:47
A. Praising God, having favor with all the people!
1. Yes, we praise God with fruits of the lips. Heb.13:15
2. Denominations praising God according to Psalms 150:1-6.
a. Praise God in his sanctuary. Psalms 150:1 b. Praise God with the sound of the trumpet. 150:3
c. Praise God with psaltery and harp. 150:3 d. Praise God with the timbrel and dance. 150:4
e. Praise God with stringed instruments and organs. 150:4
f. Praise God upon the loud cymbals. 150:5 g. Praise God upon the high sounding cymbals. 150:5
3. To use all these instruments require professionals!
I have a piano to practice sinning. When I play, my wife like to say: It hurt my ears!
4. In old time church sanctuary may be in a re-mote site without neighbors living close by!
Nowadays, church can be next to your bed room! Constant loud music and noise no one like it!
B. What I know in reality!
1. A man build a house, a little like a church building.
During the building process his neighbor gave him lots of troubles.
They sued him to delay his building for a long time.
They dump dangerous material into his building site and reported to authorities.
2. Do you know why? Churches has become very hated in the society!
Noise and loud music is the number one reason!
3. Neighbor sued a Korean church for noise and loud music many times.
4. In reality, nowadays, praising God do not have favor with all the people!
C. I wonder what made them able to praising God having favor with all the people?
1. I guess they practice Matt.7:12! As you would others do to you, do the same to others!
2. I know for a fact, right next to my house is a Korean church.
Their workers careless about us! I had to go out to tell them not to park in my drive way!
I had to tell them, do not let their children run and ruin grass on my front yard….
As for loud noise and loud music, by the grace of God, I am used to it!
The opposite Korean couple complained to authority many times about their activities!
3. I wonder how did Jesus preach to 5000 plus people.
How did Peter and disciples preach to 3000 plus people.
At the time they do not even have loud speakers!
People have to behave very well and quiet!
4. I think this is number one reason!
Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented
by evil spirits, and all of them were healed. Acts 5:16
I wonder why they did not bring their dead people to them!
5. I know if church buildings are far away from residential neighbor and all sick in town get healed.
Praising God, having favor with all the people will repeat everywhere!
D. But this is God’s way!
1. When they found him, they exclaimed: "Everyone is looking for you!" Mark 1:37
2. Jesus replied: Let us go somewhere else-- to the nearby villages-- so I can preach there also.
That is why I have come. Mark 1:38
3. Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs
but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. John 6:26
4. Church work is for saving souls! Acts 2:47 Word of the Lord can save souls. James 1:21
5. Preach the word in season and out of season! 2 Tim.4:2
6. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed
his word by the signs that accompanied it. Mark 16:20
8. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves,
he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through
Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11
