Depend on God or depend on you?
1. When Jesus was born Angels announced:
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. Luke 2:14
2. When Jesus sent the 72 to preach he said: Luke 10:5-6
When you enter a house, first say, `Peace to this house.'
If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.
3. Before Jesus ascended back to heaven he said: John 20:26
A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them.
Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"
4. But why said Jesus these!
Think not that I came to send peace on the earth:
I came not to send peace, but a sword.
For I have come to turn "`a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--
a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.' Matt.10:34-36
5. This is why!
a. When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. Matt.10:23
b. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. Matt.24:9
c. I persecuted the followers of this Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison, Acts 22:4
d. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Tim.3:12-13
This is reality in this world now! Evil men and impostors go from bad to worse!
The more they attracted people to their establishments the worse they are! More is being condemned!
A. Salvation and better life depend on God or depend on us, men?
1. Jesus said to his disciples: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creations! Mark 16:15
2. He who believes and is baptized will be saved. He who believes not will be condemned! Mark 16:16
3. For salvation of the soul, It takes:
a. Jesus to send. b. Disciples to go and preach. c. Men to believe and get baptized!
4. With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from corrupt generation."
5. Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to the church that day.
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:41-42
6. Apostle Paul put it this way.
a. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--
yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 1 Cor.15:10
b. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 1 Cor.3:6
B. Everyone has to do his share of wok under the Father’s directions!
1. As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 1 Cor.12:20
2. The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!"
And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" 1 Cor.12:21
3. On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable. 1 Cor.12:22
4. The parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor.
The parts that are presentable are treated with special modesty,while our presentable parts need no special treatment.
But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 12:23-24
5. So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.
If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. 1 Cor.12:25-26
6. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Cor.12:27
C. Conclusion: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and each of us are all in this together!
For salvation of the soul and a better life on earth, it is not depend on God or depend on we human!
It is depend on God and also depend on us human!
It depend on us human willing to do the will of the Father in heaven!
