Many types of Jesus' believers!
A. Great numbers of impostor Jesus’ never knew them type!
1. "Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'
Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Matt.7:21-23
2. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Tim.3:12-13
B. The powerful and evil types! John 8:31-59
1. To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Jn.8:31-32
2. Yet you are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word. Jn.8:37
You are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Jn.8:40
You belong to your father, the devil,.. John 8:44
They picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself slipping away. John 8:59
2. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God. 2 Cor.2:15-17
C. Mark 7:8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to
the traditions of men." (NIV)
Mark 7:9 And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the
commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! (NIV)
Col 2:4 I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding
arguments. (NIV)
Matt 23:15 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you
hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single
convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much
a son of hell as you are. (NIV)
A. If you think Judas, one of the 12 was a believer, then he is a better had
1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For

D. The blessed and chosen types!
Ac 13:48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word
of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.
Ac 13:49 The word of the Lord spread through the whole region. (NIV)
E. The taught and practice a little bit wrong types!
Ac 19:1 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the
interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples
(NIV)
Ac 19:2 and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy
Spirit." (NIV)
Ac 19:3 So Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?" "John's
baptism," they replied. (NIV)
Ac 19:4 Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the
people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus."
Ac 19:5 On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
F. The devoted and faithful unto death type!
Ac 2:40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them,
"Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." (NIV)
Ac 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three
thousand were added to their number that day. (NIV)
Ac 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (NIV)
1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move
you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,
because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
2 Cor 1:24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for
your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm. (NIV)
Rev 2:10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you,
the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you
will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the
point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. (NIV)
