Many types of Jesus' believers!
This is to continue my last sermon about someone said: I saw Jesus’ believers done evil things!
A. Great number of impostors, Jesus’ never knew them type!
1. "Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'
Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Matt.7:21-23
2. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Tim.3:12-13
3. Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!
You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. Matt.23:15
Yes, this type of Jesus’ believers can do evil things.
In fact here Jesus said they were evil doers!
Those who saw Jesus’ believers done evil things, must be this type of believers!
I can see, why these people fool so many people! They said, they preaching in Jesus’ name!
This means they preach what says in theBible! These cast out demons in Jesus’ name, do many miracles in Jesus’ name!
If the Bible did not record down what Jesus said about them being evil doers!
Who in this wide world would ever thought they were evil doers!
Yes, this type of Jesus’ believers can do lots of evil things!
So, the world watch out!
B. The powerful and evil types! John 8:31-59
1. To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Jn.8:31-32
2. Yet you are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word. Jn.8:37
3. You are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Jn.8:40
4. You belong to your father, the devil,.. John 8:44
5, They picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself slipping away. John 8:59
Yes, this type of Jesus’ believer can do evil things!
They thought about to kill Jesus.
They were determined to kill Jesus!
They tried to stone Jesus! In fact they ended up nailed Jesus to the cross!
C. The determined to hold on to man made teachings type!
1. You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.
And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! Mark 7:8-9
2. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. Col.2 :4
This type of Jesus’ believers may do evil things too!
In fact we see them done evil things reported on News Papers!
These people mixed some teachings from the Bible with some of their teaching!
They show things in the Bible but preach and practice their own teachings!
Yes, this type of Jesus’ believers can do evil things too!
D, The drop out from the church of Christ type!
1. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us.
For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. 1 John 2:19
2. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the last state is become worse with them than the first. For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2 Peter 2:20-21 As Peter said, it is better this type of believers had never been a believer! Yes, this type of Jesus’ believers can do evil things! In fact the first evil thing they do is drop out from the church of Christ! The second evil is they invented one more denomination! Or they organize their own house church! designed to destroy the church of Christ! Their intention and method are evil! After dropped out from the church of Christ they still claim to be Jesus’ believers is another evil!
May the world forever know, once dropped out from church of Christ they are not Jesus’ believers!
All the Jesus’ believers are in the churches of Christ!
E. The taught and practice a little bit wrong types! Acts 19:1-5
1. While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus.
There he found some disciples and asked them: Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?
They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit." Acts 19:1-2
2. So Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?" "John's baptism," they replied. Acts 19:3
3. Paul said: John's baptism was a baptism of repentance.
He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus." Acts 19:4
4. On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 19:5
I know this type of Jesus’ believers will not do evil things. So you will not see them do evil things!
F. The blessed and chosen types! Acts 13:48-49 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord;
and all who were appointed for eternal life believed. The word of the Lord spread through the whole region.
Yes, you will not see this type of Jesus’ believers do evil things! If you see one, please let me know!
G. The devoted and faithful unto death type!
1. With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. Acts 2:40-41
2. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42
3. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor.15:58
4. Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm. 2 Cor.1:24
5. Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days.
Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. Rev.2:10 If you wish to see this type of Jesus’ believers to do evil, you have to live ten thousand years!
H. The I have fought a good fight and kept the faith type! 2 Tim.4:7-8
1. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
2. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--\
and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Anyone wish to see this type of Jesus’ believers to do evil, he or she has to be craze!
