If you believe Jesus this way it would be better that you not believe!
Preface: Watch your life and doctrine closely.
Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 Tim.4:16
A. If you believe Jesus this way, it is better that you do not believe!
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and
are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.
It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known
it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 2 Peter 2:20-12
1. If you do not intend to follow Jesus till death of the body, it is better that you do not believe!
2. If you believe Jesus for awhile, then, drop out, you are worse off at the end than at the beginning!
3. This would also prevent others from coming to believe Jesus!
B. If you believe Jesus this way, it is better that you do not believe!
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!
You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one,
you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. Matt.23:15
1. These people believe Jesus but live as a son of hell!
2. They travel over land and see to win a convert and then make him twice a son of hell!
3. These people end up in hell and bring other to hell with them!
4. Believe Jesus suppose to make the world better!
Believe Jesus and be a son of hell and make more sons of hell, this would make the world worse!
5. This would also prevent others from coming to believe Jesus!
C. If you believe Jesus this way, it is better that you do not believe! Titus 3:10-11
Warn a denomination person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to
do with him. You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.
1. If you believe Jesus in a denomination church, it is better that you do not believe!
2. Because denomination people are warped, sinful and self-condemned! Titus 3:10-11
3. Why do you want to believe Jesus and be warped, sinful and self-condemned!
4. No wonder, so many “Jesus believers” behaved no different than non-believers!
5. They are as corrupt and sinful as non-believers!
D. If you believe Jesus this way, it is better that you do not believe!
Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God;
whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and
does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him.
Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work. 2 John 1:9-11
1. If you cannot believe Jesus according to what says in the Bible, it is better that you do not believe!
2. Why do anyone wants to be a part of a wicked work!
E. If you believe Jesus this way, it is better that you do not believe!
1. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22
2. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-- and shudder. James 2:19
3. We know God has prepared the eternal fire for the devil and his angels! Matt.25:41
4. Deceivers belong to the devil! John 8:44
F. You want to believe Jesus this way and be blessed!
1. Be a new creation! 2 Cor.5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Cor.5:17
2. Let the Lord himself adds you into his church which is his body! Acts 2:47, Eph.1:22-23
3. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
4. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for
me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—
and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Tim.4:7-8
