In God's design you are a living soul!
A. The living soul has to live with the spirit and flesh body together.
1. The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7
a. The man’s body is from dust of the ground.
b. The man’s spirit is the breath of life from God.
c. The man himself is a living soul.
2. When the flesh body died, the body returns to dust, the spirit returns to God who gave it . Ecc.12:7
This leave the soul to find another place to live!
3. While living on earth in the body, souls groan and are burdened! 2 Cor.5:4
For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened,
because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling,
so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
As we can see this verse says: We, the souls wish to be clothed with an immortal body to live in heaven!
B. Here is the problem! Ro.7:19-25
1. For the good which I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I practice. Ro.7:19
Souls like to do what is good. But souls end up always do what is evil!
2. Here is the reason! Ro.7:20
But if what I would not, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me. Ro.7:20
Sin can live in the flesh body too! Sin is able to make the body do evil against the soul!
3. My soul delight in the law of God which is the words in the New Testament Bible! Ro.7:22
4. When sin which live in the body combine with the lust of the flesh put me, the soul in captivity.7:23
Under this situation, it is hopeless for the soul!
5. When sin and lust of the body together war against the soul.
The soul is hopelessly in the body of death! Ro.7:24
6. Here is the salvation for the soul! Ro.7:25
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then I of myself with the mind, indeed, serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
C. Be a new creation in Christ!
1. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2Cor.5:17
2. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Eph.4:22-24
3. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Col.3:5
4. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Ro.5:13
D. A new life begin with believe and be baptized! Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:36-38
1. Apostle Peter preached: Let all Israel know assuredly, the Jesus whom you crucified, God has made him both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:37
2. When they heard this, they were cut to their hearts. They asked: what must we do? Acts 2:37
3. Peter said: Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38
4. On that day, 3000 were baptized and the Lord added these saved people into the church. Acts 2:41, 47
E. You have to decide for yourself! Acts 2:40-42
1. With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." Acts 2:40
2. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42
F. If you neglect this great salvation, hopelessness is for your soul! Heb.2:3-4
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord,
and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also testified to it by signs, wonders and
various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. Heb.2:3-4
