Subject: Different bases in one’s thinking process lead to different understanding of the scriptures!

A. Use Romans 10:9 as the base in your thinking process you will see these messages in Acts 9:17-18.

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

With mouth confess Jesus is Lord and believe in heart God raised him from dead you will be saved.

With this in the back of one’s mind as base of thinking, a man will understand Acts 9:17-18 this way:

Acts 9:17-18 as recorded--> Then Ananias went to the house and entered it.

Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord-- Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—

has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."

Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,

   1. Ananias called him “brother Saul” this means he was saved already!

   2. Ananias placed his hands on Saul, and he could see again.

   3. Saul was filled with the Holy Spirit.

   4. He got up and was baptized.

The key point in Saul’s salvation process is that he was saved before and without water baptism!

Their reasons--> Saul was called a brother, his eye sight restored, he was filled with the Holy Spirit.

These three point firmly proved Saul was saved before he got up and was baptized!

In this thinking process the word “brother” means brother in the church!

B. With Mark 16:16 as the base in your thinking process you will see these messages in Acts 9:17-18.

He who believes and is baptized will be saved, he who believe not will be condemned! Mark 16:16

With this in the back of one’s mind as base of thinking, a man will understand Acts 9:17-18 this way:

Acts 9:17-18 as recorded--> Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul,

he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord-- Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—

has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."  Immediately, something like

scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,

1. Ananias called Saul brother because he was also a Jew, as a kinfolk brother!

Ananias called Saul brother not because he was a brother in the church!

2. Ananias knew exactly what Jesus told him to do for Saul-->

    a. To help him see again.  b. To help him be filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 9:17

    b. As a teacher sent by Jesus he knew exactly what to do to accomplish his mission!

To help him see again, he had to land his hands on Saul.

To help him be filled with the Holy Spirit he had to baptize him to wash away his sins first! Acts 9:18

Thank God, after Saul became Paul he explained this in Acts 22:12-16 his process of salvation!

    c. The point is that his sins were washed away when he got up and was baptized!

He was saved at the time when his sins were washed away!

By the grace of God, we were inspired to discover messages in Mark 16:15, Romans 1:7 and Acts 15:1-5 to help further confirm this understanding process!

C. Use Romans 10:9 as base in thinking process --> Mouth confess and heart believe will be saved.

A man will understand the Cornelius family were saved before and without water baptism!

He will jump to the conclusion at reading Acts 16:30-31.

Because the answer in Acts 16:31 fit their thinking process base perfectly!

What must I do to be saved? 16:30 Believe in the Lord Jesus you will be saved, you and your family.31

Use Mark 16:16 as base in thinking process a man will read Acts 16:30-33!

Until he and his family were baptized at that hour of the night! Because this fit their thinking base!

Ro 1:7 To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mk 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

Why is it the truth in the Bible has to understand this way!

When people were bad, God hid the truth from them! Is.28:13, Matt.13:15, 2 Thes.2:10-12, John 8:43-44…

Conclusion: Why is this so important?

Because if you preached different from what Paul preached you will be condemned in hell! Gal.1:8
