When things are not what you dream of!
Think about what God wishes! 1 Tim.2:4
God wishes all men to be saved and to come to the precise knowledge of the New Testament Bible!
A. See what happened for thousands of years!
1. People cooked up fine way to set aside the truth in the New Testament! Mk.7:9
2. People rise up to distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. Acts 20:30
3. People chose not to retain the knowledge of God. Romans 1:28
5. People flatly refuse to receive the love of the truth! 2 Thes.2:10
6. Ignorant and unstable people distort the truth to their own destruction. 2 Peter 3:16
7. Long time ago, did someone rise up to say: God is dead?!
If God can be aggravated to death, God is dead long ago! God is Spirit! God is the I AM!
B. God wants the church to be his church! Matt.16:18
1. God wants the church to be the pillar and foundation of the truth. 1 Tim.3:15
How many in the church of Christ can be pillar and foundation of the truth!
2. Christ wants all his believers to be perfectly united in one church of Christ! John 17:20-23
3. God wants the church to be the instrument to make known the wisdom of God…Eph.3:10-11
4. God said, denomination is warped, sinful and self-condemned! Titus 3:10-11
C. Even in ancient time God said these: Eze.18:23-24
1. Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord.
Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live?
None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered.
Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die.
2. If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die. Eze.18:26
3. If a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life. Eze.18:27
4. I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live! Eze.18:32
D. This is how we have to take comfort!
1. Apostle Paul: I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit.
That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren,
my kinsmen according to the flesh. Romans 9:1-3
2. Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Romans 10:1-3
3. 2000 years had gone by, look around the world and see what happened to the Jews on earth!
4. Apostle settled with these: 2Tim 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth
there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:
and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Tim.4:6-8
5. See what Peter said: 2Pe 1:13 I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, because I know that I will soon put it aside,
as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things. 2 Peter 1:13-15
6. Jesus said: A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. Matt.10:24
7. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Cor.10:13
Jesus promised: While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition;
that the scripture might be fulfilled. John 17:12 As long as you are in a church of Christ, you are protected!
