What kind of a place heaven is?
First let us see what kind of a place hell is! Mark 9:43-47
1. Jesus said: If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than
with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. Mk.9:43
2. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two
feet and be thrown into hell. Mk.9:45
3. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with
one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, Mk.9:47
Attention 1. Jesus repeated three times, it is better to enter life with 1 hand, 1 foot and 1 eye....
Attention 2. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God…
4.The exact same people are described as kingdom of God, church of Christ and kingdom of heaven.
5. For 40 days after Jesus’ resurrection, he talked to his disciples about the kingdom of God! Ac.1:3
6. Yes, even demons afraid going to hell! Luke 8:28
When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice:
What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don't torture me!
Now let us see what kind of a place heaven is!
A. Here is a taste of heaven on earth! Matt.17:1-4
1. After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a
high mountain by themselves. Mark 17:1
2. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white
as the light. Mark 17:2
3. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. Matt.17:3
4. Peter said to Jesus: Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three tents—
one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." Matt.17:4
5. I think, Peter was so happy, he forgot about one for James, John and himself!
B. Heaven is a place where these kinds of people will not be there!
To me this alone is enough for all normal people to want to go!
No more, hi!!! if these people had not been born! Matt.26:24
1. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who
practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
This is the second death." Rev.21:8
2. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are (these): fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, envying, drunkenness,
reveling, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practice
such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal.5:19-21
3. Right now some people are willing to put up 500, 000.00 come to live in America!
How much will you pay to live in a place where there are no such people!?
C. What kinds of people will be there? 2 Peter 3:10-14
1. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great
noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are
therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10
2. Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in (all) holy
living and godliness. 2 Peter 3:11
3. Looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens being
on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 2 Peter 3:12
4. But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.
5. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace,
without spot and blameless in his sight. 2 Peter 3:14
6. Yes, the righteous and the perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect will live there!
D. Conclusion:
1. Yes, heaven is a place where the Apostles and Paul willing to be killed to go.
2. Please know that hell is prepared for the devil and his people not for you! Matt.25:41
3. Heaven is prepared for whoever is willing! 1 Tim.2:4
4. Chinese love to say: There is road to heaven, people refuse to go. There is no door to hell, people burst into it!
5. Please consider this--> your Father in Heaven want you to go to heaven after you finished life on earth!
