Rejoice always!

Main scriptures for this study: 1 Thes.5:16-18

Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks: for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

 

A. Apostle Paul may have no wife, no family but he has these! 1 Cor.9:1-5

1. I am free. 1 Cor.9:1

2. I am an Apostle.

3. I have seen Jesus our Lord.

4. You are my work in the Lord.

5. If to others I am not an Apostle, at least to you I am. 1 Cor.9:2

6. You are the seal of my Apostleship in the Lord.

7. My defense to them that examine me is this. 1 Cor.9:3

8. We have the right to eat and drink. 1 Cor.9:4

9. We have the right to lead about a wife who is a believer, even as the rest of the Apostles, and the brethren of the Lord, and Peter. 1 Cor.9:5

 

B. Apostle Paul may have no wife, no family but he has these! 2 Tim.1:1-5

1. I am an Apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, according to the promise of the life which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim.1:1 

2. Timothy is my beloved son in the Lord. 2 Tim.1:2

3. When I remember Timothy, I thank God whom I serve! 2 Tim.1:3

4. When I see people like Timothy I am filled with joy. 2 Tim.1:4

5. I always remember, Timothy my beloved son has genuine faith in the Lord.

   Timothy inherited the genuine faith which first in his grandma and his mother! 2 Tim.1:5

 

C. Apostle Paul may have no wife, no family but he has these! Eph.1:7-9

1. In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. Eph.1:7

2. God has lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. Eph.1:8

3. God had made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ. Eph.1:9

 

D. Apostle Paul may have no wife, no family but he has these! 2 Tim.4:1-8

1. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom,

    I give you this charge: 2 Tim.4:1

2. Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage— with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Tim.4:2

3. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them

    great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

    They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 Tim.4:3-4

4. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. 2 Tim.4:5

5. For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure.

6. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Tim.4:7

7. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--

    and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

 

E. Apostle Paul may have no wife, no family but his has these! 2 Cor.5:20-6:1

1. We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech (you) on behalf of Christ,

    be ye reconciled to God. 2 Cor.5:20 

2. Him who knew no sin he made (to be) sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him. 2 Cor.5:21

3. As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. 2 Cor.6:1

 

Conclusion--> So Apostle Paul said: Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks,

    for this is the will of God in Christ for you! 1 Thes.5:16-18
