Why must we believe Jesus the Bible way?
A. Man was created to be a living soul! Gen.2:7
1. This means the soul will live forever!
2. While on earth soul lives in a human body!
3. When the body is dead, soul may live in Paradise or Hades! Luke 16:22-23, 23:43.
4. Each human has three lives--> spirit and soul and body. 1 Thes.5:23
5. The body without spirit is dead. James 2:26
6. When the body is dead, spirit returns to God who gave it. Ecc.12:7
7. When the body is dead, the body returns to dust. Ecc.12:7
8. Scriptures describe Paradise is a comfort place, Hades is a suffering place. Lk.16:22-23, 23:43
B. God is the one who decides how long a man lives on earth! Acts 17:26
1. Man is to die once and face judgment! Heb.9:27
2. All who die in sins their souls go to live with Satan in hell forever. Matt.25:41
3. Sinless, perfected souls are to live with God in heaven forever! Heb.9:24
4. As scripture and all human know there is no perfect person on earth! Ro.3:23
C. God has provided a way for sinful man to become perfect!
1. Jesus declared: Be ye perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect! Matt:5-48
2. This made perfect sense! Since God is perfect, to live with God, all must be perfect!
3. Jesus declared: Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Mark 13:31
4. At the time of baptism God utilize Jesus’ blood to wash away man’s sins! Acts 2:38, 22:16
5. The Lord added those whose sins had been cleansed into the church of Christ. Acts 2:47
6. God provided a way for baptized people to keep their sinless perfection. 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
7. All unrighteousness is sin! 1 John 5:17
When all sins are cleansed, one is perfect!
D. Now is the day for salvation!
1. For he says: In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.
I tell you: now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. 2Cor.6:2
2. How shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced
by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. Heb.2:3
3. When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive
the nations in the four corners of the earth-- Gog and Magog-- to gather them for battle. In number
they are like the sand on the seashore. Rev.20:7-8
4. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city
he loves. Rev.20:9a
5. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. Rev.20:9b
6. The devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the
false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Rev.20:10
E. Conclusion: This will happen to all souls who sinned!
1. Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it.
Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. Rev.20:11
2. The dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened.
Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they
had done as recorded in the books. Rev.20:12
3. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them,
and each person was judged according to what he had done. Rev.20:13
4. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.
The lake of fire is the second death. Rev.20:14
5. If one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Re20:15
