Why must I worship God in a church of Christ!?
A. Name of the church!
1. Jesus said: I will build my church! Matt.16:18
2. Naturally, all others call this church, church of Jesus.
3. Jesus want people to believe he is the Christ. John 8:24
4. Therefore, we call this church, church of Christ.
5. Apostle Paul reconfirmed this for us in Ro.16:16
Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.
6. Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such
as should be saved. (KJV)
Naturally, we call this church, church of Christ!
7. The church is to be a virgin wife to Christ the one husband! 2 Cor.11:2
I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy.
I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. 2 Cor.11:2
8. When a virgin girl married to a husband, she is called wife of the husband's name!
This is natural, normal and legal! This name comes with marriage.
9. Call a married woman Mrs. other than the name of her husband’s name has adultery connotation!
B. The church is described as the body of Christ!
1. Christ is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead;
that in all things he might have the preeminence. Col.1:18
2. The body always go with the head!
3. The body does not has its own name!
4. The saved in the world are one body in Christ. Romans 12:5
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. (KJV)
5. This is very important!
For Jesus said, the saved are to be as perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect! Matt.5:48
6. No one is perfect on this earth! Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (KJV)
How can we be perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect?
7. By being in the body of Christ, the church of Christ!
When we are in the church of Christ, we are in the body of Christ!
When we are in the body of Christ, we are in the Father!
Jesus said: The Father and I are one! John 10:30
When we are in the Father, we are as perfect as the Father is perfect!
This is the way! This knowledge has been given to preachers in the church of Christ!
Have you ever heard anyone can link up these scriptures this way!?
C. God specified what kind of sacrifice of praise to offer! Heb.13:15
1. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is,
the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
2. Aaron’s sons died during worship to God for offered unauthorized item! Lev. 10:1-2
3. In worship to God, God demands absolute obedience! Lev.10:3
Then Moses said unto Aaron: This is it that the LORD spoke, saying, I will be sanctified in them
that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. Aaron held his peace. Lev.10:1-3
4. In the New Testament time, even if you can do these, Jesus will say you are evil does!
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
And in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (KJV)
5. Read Matt.7:23 then you will know the why!
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)
Why must I worship in a church of Christ!?
Worship anywhere else your worship may be vain or make you become evil doer!
