Bible on manage sexual desire!
A. God will judge! 1 Cor.5:9-13
1. I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people--
not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters.
In that case you would have to leave this world. 1 Cor.5:9-10
2. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy,
an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. 1 Cor.5:11
3. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 5:12
4. God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you." 1 Cor.5:13
5. Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure,
for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Heb.13:4
B. Control, abstain and flee!
1. Fleshly lusts are fornication and adultery which war against the soul! Gal.5:19, 1 Peter 2:11
2. Apostle Peter’s advise is to abstain. 1 Peter 2:11
3. Apostle Paul’s advise is flee from fornication.
Every sin is outside the body. Fornication is sin against his own body. 1 Cor.1:18
4. Jesus’ instruction is do not look at a woman to lust after her! Matt.5:27-28
5. In Chinese culture, it is don’t touch an occupied flower! Deu.22:23-24
If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her.
You shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death--
the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife.
You must purge the evil from among you.
C. One way to manage sexual desire is to get marry! 1 Cor.7:1-5
1. It is good for a man not to have sex with a woman! 1 Cor.7:1
2. Apostle Paul repeated this advise! 1 Cor.7:8-9
Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. 1 Cor.7:8
3. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with sexual desire. 1 Cor.7:9
4. To avoid fornication, let every man has his own wife. Let every woman has her own husband. 1 Cor.7:2
5. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 1. Cor.7:3
6. The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband.
In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 1 Cor.7:4
7. Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer.
Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
1 Cor.7:5. (Lack of self-control original meaning is unable to hold in!)
8. Jesus had given this provision for divorce! Matt.19:9
I say unto you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, committed adultery:
and he that married her when she is put away committed adultery.
D. Conclusion:
1. Sex is between a husband and his wife! All others are immorality or perversion!
2. Bible has this to say about man manage his sexual desire with man! Jude 1:7
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.
They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
3. The world know very well what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah! Gen.19:5
They called to Lot: Where are the men who came to you tonight?
Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.
4. It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;
that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable. 1 Thes.4:3-4
