One little verse and a simple question!
A. Make no mistake! Heb.4:12-13
1. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even
to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before
the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Heb.4:12-13
2. The word of God is living and active.
3. The word of God is sharper than any double-edged sword.
4. The word of God penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow.
5. The word of God judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
6. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.
7. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of God!
B. One simple question and one little verse in the Bible can expose all false spiritual workers!
1. The simple questionà Is the name of the church you belong recorded in the Bible?
You can teach 5 years old child to ask this question!
2. The little verse is Matt.5:37.
Simply let your `Yes' be `Yes,' and `No,' `No'; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
C. Here is how it works!
1. Ask the teacher or believer this questionà Is the name of the church you go recorded in the Bible?
2. Not one will immediately answer with a No! They will all explain!
3. Once they start to explain, they had said more than yes or no!
4. Jesus said, these people come from the evil one! (Not I said!)
5. Anyone can try this at any time in any place upon this earth! Call, use your phone test it out!
6. This is by their fruit you will recognize them! Matt.7:15-16
7. The church they belong is their fruit!
D. This simple effective wisdom given only to people in the church of Christ!
1. The disciples came to Jesus and asked: Why do you speak to the people in parables? Matt.13:10
2. Jesus replied: Matt.13:11
The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
3. You must know all those disciples were member of the church of Christ! Acts 2:47, Ro.16:16
4. You must know the kingdom of heaven is church of Christ! Eph.2:19
5. Those do not know these will have to stay in spiritual darkness forever!
E. Let no one boast!
1. Let no one boast about their success on the earth!
2. Not even mention about how many people in the church with a name not in the Bible!
3. Not even mention about how large is your church building!...
4. I can just say: On this earth the evil one always get more than I! 1 John 5:19
5. I will always remember this one! Matt.16:26
What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?
Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Matt.16:26
F. Conclusion: Warning from prophet Isaiah! Isa.28:13-18
So then, the word of the LORD to them will become: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule;
a little here, a little there-- so that they will go and fall backward, be injured and snared and captured.
Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing
scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we
hid ourselves: Therefore thus said the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious
corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. I will make justice the measuring line and
righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place.
Your covenant with death will be annulled; your agreement with the grave will not stand. When the overwhelming
scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it.
