If you can't then don't!
A. If you can't be a member of the church of Christ, don't believe Jesus!
1. If you can't be a member of the church of Christ, then you may be a member of a denomination!
2. Denomination is warped, sinful and self-condemned! Titus 3:10-11
You be better off just be one of a sinner in this world!
3. Yes, in the world all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Ro.3:23
4. If you believe Jesus and become a member of a denomination church you be a sinner plus warped,
sinful and self-condemned!
5. Read what Apostle Peter wrote and be smart! 2 Peter 2:20-21
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and
are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.
It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known
it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.
6. Please remember, the Lord added the saved into the church of Christ! Acts 2:47
7. Please remember all the original Apostles were member of the church of Christ. Ro.16:16
B. If you can't be in worship on Sunday to take the Lord's Supper, then don't believe Jesus! Heb.10:25-29
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—
and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left.
Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished
who has trampled the Son of God under foot,
who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him,
and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
1. If you can’t attend Sunday worship to take the Lord’s supper, you be better off just be a sinner!
2. If you believe Jesus and can’t be in worship to take the Lord’s supper on Sunday, you become a sinner
plus trodden Jesus under foot, treated his blood an unholy thing and be punished more severely!
C. If you can't abide in Jesus' teaching, then don't believe Jesus!
Read what Jesus said to the Jews who having believed him in John 8:31-59.
1. They believed Jesus but not know the truth.
2. They believed Jesus but continue to live in sin.
3. They believed Jesus but Jesus said they don't believe him!
4. They said they were children of God, but Jesus said they were children of the devil!
5. If you can't abide in Jesus' teaching, you better just be one of a sinner in this world.
6. If you believe Jesus and can't abide in Jesus' teaching, more sins added unto you!
D. If you can't abide in Jesus' teaching, then don't believe Jesus!
Read what Jesus said in Matt.7:22-23!
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name
cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you evil doers.
1. Lord, Lord, did we not preach in your name?
2. Did we not cast our demons and do many mighty works in your name?
3. Jesus said to them plainly: I never knew you, depart from me, you evil doers!
4. Preaching is suppose to save oneself and those hear them! 1 Tim.4:16
5. Believe Jesus is suppose to help others to enter the kingdom of God! Matt.23:13
But if you believe Jesus and not abide in his teaching, you end up not enter yourself and you hinder
others from entering!
E. Conclusion:
1. Believe Jesus is to find rest for our souls! Matt.11:28-29
2. Believe Jesus is to have times of refreshing in life on earth! Acts 3:19
3. Believe Jesus is to gain the death in the Lord for eternal life! Rev.14:13
