Faith test

Friday Bible Study. May 6, 2016.

Subject: Test one’s faith and know who he or she is!

Preface: A man came to church.  Claim to be a faithful believer!

1. The first thing he did is trying to learn what says in the Bible?

2. The first thing he or she is trying to date someone in the church?

3. It is the priority that tells whose what!

A. The having believed Jews!  John 8:31-44

1. They claim to be Jesus’ believers!  John 8:31

2. They do not hold to Jesus’ teaching! 8:31

3. They do not know the truth but continue to live in sin! 8:32

4. They claim to be children of Abraham!  John 8:33

5. They try to kill Jesus. There is no room in their hearts for Jesus’ word.  8:37

6. They say: The only Father we have is God himself!  John 8:41

7. Jesus said: You belong to your father, the devil! John 8:44

You want to carry out your father’s desire! John 8:44

B. Jesus said: Many will say to me: We are wonderful workers of the Lord! Matt.7:22-23

1. Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?  Matt.7:22

2. And in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Matt.7:22

3. Jesus will answer plainly: I never knew you. Away from me, you evil doers! Matt.7:23

C. Jesus gave a forever formula to identify! Matt.7:15-16

1. Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing. Matt.7:15

2. Inwardly they are ferocious wolves. Matt.7:15

3. By their fruit you will recognize them. Matt.7:16

4. One who is not church of Christ member can’t be Jesus’ believer!

5. Churches are fruits of preaching!

Anyone does not know this.  By this it is sure he or she is not a Jesus’ believer!

D. Do not be fooled!

1. Jesus said: For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles

to deceive the elect-- if that were possible. Mark 13:22

2. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 2 Cor.11:13

3. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 2 Cor.11:14

4. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness.

Their end will be what their actions deserve.  2 Cor.11:15

E. Do you try to find ways to make God’s word come true?

1. Be ye perfect as the Father in Heaven is perfect! Matt.5:48

    a. I have to find a way to become perfect as my Father in Heaven is perfect!

This is the only way in which I can be fitted to live forever with my Father in Heaven!

    b. No way!  Everyone knows, no one can be perfect in this world!

    c. Much less to be as perfect as the Father in Heaven is perfect!

    d. Jesus just want us to aim high!....

    e. If your attitude is a. you have my congratulation.

    f. If your attitude is b.-d. you are not a Jesus’ believer!

2. Warn a denomination person once and warn him twice. After that have nothing to do with them.

You may be sure denomination is warped, sinful and self-condemned! Titus 3:10-11

3. The person is a member of a church that is not a church of Christ!  Matt.13:10-11

    a. This person does not know the truth. This person is not a Jesus’ believer!

    b. The truth is given only to Jesus’ believers!

    c. All believers of Jesus, such as Peter, Paul, John… were members of churches of Christ!

4. The fact a person does not know the message in Titus 3:10-11 prove he or she is not a believer!

Conclusion:  Please remember, Jesus put the saved into the church. Acts 2:47

That church is church of Christ. Romans 16:16. May the Lord bless you and keep you alway
