Subject: How do you balance these teachings?
A. Jesus said: I am gentle and humble in heart. Matt.11:28-29
2Tim 2:24-26 And the Lord's servant must not strive, but be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing,
2Tim 2:25 in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves;
if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,
and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
B. Titus 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be in subjection to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready unto every good work,
to speak evil of no man, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all meekness toward all men.
C. Ezek 13:13-14`Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury.
I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare.
When it falls, you will be destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the LORD.
D. James 1:19-22 My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
E. Matt.22:10 And those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good:
and the wedding was filled with guests. But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment:
and he said unto him, Friend, how came thou in hither not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless.
Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness;
there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
F. Mark 3:1-5 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there who had his hand withered.
And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
And he said unto the man that had his hand withered, Stand forth. And he said to them,
Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm?
To save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their heart,
he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand.
And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan!
You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."
G. John 2:13-17 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money.
So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle;
he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!"
His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me."
H. Eph4:26-27 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil.
I. 1 Cor.13:5 Do not behave itself unseemly, seek not her own, is not easily provoked, think no evil.
J. Eze.25:16 therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
I am about to stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethites and destroy those remaining along the coast.
K. Eze 25:17 I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath.
Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I take vengeance on them.'"
L. Romans 12:19 Ro 12:19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written:
"It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.
