Liars in the church!
Besides he who believes and is baptized will be saved. He who believes not will be condemned. Mk.16:16
This is one of my favor subject! This is one often quoted craze excuse!
Many say: Because there are liars in the church, therefore I do not go to worship God in the church!
How about if I say, there are more liars in the world! Therefore, you do not want to be in the world?
One lives on earth and quote this excuse for not go to church to worship God committed one more sin!
The sin is partiality! Partiality is unrighteousness. All unrighteousness is sin. 1 John 5:17
A. How about Satan among the sons of God? Job 1:6
1. Satan got to talk to God in person too! Job 1:7
2. How about adulterers and fornicators in the church! 1 Cor.5:
3. How about Satan himself pretense to be angel of light in the church! 2 Cor.11:14
4. How about false apostles, deceitful workmen in the church. 2 Cor.11:13
5. There are a lot more, you name it! Gamblers, drunken people, smokers, cursers…
B. Evil people in the church can be one worthy reason to believe Jesus!
1. This idea is this--> I do not follow the world. The world follows me as I follow Jesus!
2. I look up to Noah in his world! 2 Peter 2:5
In his time the world was destroyed, God found him to be a preacher of righteousness!
I like to be a Noah when the whole world against God, I am on His side! If I had to be alone, so be it!
3. I look up to Lot in his world! 2 Peter 2:6-9
If God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them
an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly.
4. If God rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men. 2:7
5. For that righteous man living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by
the lawless deeds he saw and heard. 2:8
If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous
for the day judgment, while continuing their punishment. 2 Peter 2:9
6. In Sodom and Gomorrah God found one righteous man, Lot! Lot was saved with his family!
7. How about be a poor widow! Mark 12:42-43
There came a poor widow, and she cast in two mites, which make of a farthing.
Jesus compliments her giving personally!
This poor widow cast in more than all they that are casting into the treasury!
8. How about be this boy’s five small loaves of bread and two small fish! John 6:9
In the hand of Jesus these is enough for 5000 people to eat!
C. The world must know these assuredly!
1. Wicked people will be among us as long as the world exists!
2. Wicked people will be in the church as long as the world exists!
3. We plant gospel seeds, the enemy plant weeds! Matt.13:27-30
4. Jesus said: Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect
the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.
5. Please be sure not to be around with these people!
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice
magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
This is the second death. Rev.21:8
6. If you can’t stand to be around with liars in the church.
Take it this way, liars in the church to train myself, so I may have less pain and frustration in Hades!
Hope these excusers understand what I am saying here!
7. Now you understand why I want to be on the Lord’s side and not be on the world side!
D. Conclusion:
1. God is love, faithful and righteous. 1 John 1:9, 4:8
2. The soul who sin is the one who will die. Eze.18:20
3. Each is to give his own account to God! Ro.14:12
4. Each is to be judged according to what he had done! Rev.20:12
