It is all about my children sin not! 1 John 2:1-2
Main scriptures for this study: My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.
And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
A. This is why Jesus was born! Matt.1:21
1. Mary will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his
people from their sins. Matt.1:21
2. This is why we must believe Jesus is Christ!
Jesus said: If you do not believe that I am the Christ, you will die in your sins. John 8:24
3. Jesus’ death, burial, rise again, repentance and forgiveness of sins is the gospel. Lk.24:46-47
4. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is for forgiveness of sins. Acts 2:36-38
B. This is why we must preach the gospel so people around us can believe Jesus! Romans 10:1-4
1. Brothers, my heart's desire and pray to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 10;1
2. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.
3. Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. Romans 10:3
4. Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. Ro.10:4
C.. For my children become able to sin not they must have the righteousness of God!
1. The only way people can practice the righteousness of God to become holy and righteous!
2. This is how we measure the righteousness of God? In all things, do to others as you would others do to you! Matt.7:12
3. For man become able to practice this they must have a clean soul within them!
4. Believe Jesus, repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ is the way! 1 Peter 3:21
D. This was the reason why 50 years ago we gave our lives to preach the gospel in Hong Kong!
1. By the grace of God, we were quite successful! In 4 years we baptized over 500 people!
2. That was why, when someone said: The Journey to the West is better than the Bible!
3. I told him, if that is true, he should give his life to preach it. If he does not, he is not human!
4. Preach the gospel so people become holy and righteous and sin not!
E. This is why Jesus built the church of Christ, the kingdom of God! Matt.16:18, Eph.2:19
1. The Lord added the saved into the church of Christ! Acts 2:47
2. The churches of Christ is not about eating and drinking, it is about righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit! Ro.14:17
3. When the churches of Christ is everywhere, people will be sin not!
4. This is why Jesus’ believers must not forsake Sunday worship to God! Heb.10:25-31
They need to be in the church to encourage each other for good works! Heb.10:23-24
5. This is why so important that we study what says in the Bible and do what it says!
As John said: I write these things unto you, that ye sin not! 1 John 2:1
F. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1
1. God and all parents have the exact same concern! All wish, all our children never sin!
2. But we all know, in the process of growing up, they all make mistakes!
3. As Apostle said, this must not become an excuse to sin! Romans 6:1-2
4. It is only for in case we fall short of the glory of God! Absolutely not willfully committed sin!
Willfully committed sin has to go through trodden Jesus under foot, done despite to H.S.
After this happened, one came face to face with God. Last Sunday sermon made this clear!
G. Conclusion: Yes, Jesus is the atonement sacrifice for us if we sinned.
1. Jesus needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. Heb.7:27
2. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. Heb.9:22
3. In case we sinned, Jesus is our atonement sacrifice! 1 John 2:2
We can confess our sins to God and pray for forgiveness. 1 John 1:9
4. For people in the world they must hear, believe, repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins. Acts 2:36-38
5. After baptism they must be perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect! Matt.5:48
This one reason why there is no salvation besides the churches of Christ!
