My dear children sin not. 2
Main scriptures for this study: 1 John 2:1-2 My dear children, these things write I unto you,
that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
A. The book of Job begins with these! Job 1:1-3
1. In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job.
This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. Job 1:1
2. He had 7 sons and 3 daughters. He owned 7000 sheep, 3000 camels, 500 oxen, 500 donkeys,
a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all people of the East. Job 1:2-3
B. In talking to Satan, God said these:
1. Where have you come from? Job 1:6
2. Satan Said: From roaming through the earth and going back and forth on it. Job 1:7
(So you must know my servant Job!)
3. God said to Satan: Has you considered my servant Job? There is none like him in the earth.
He is perfect, righteous, fears God and turns away from evil. Job 1:8
4. As we can see, God did not mention his great wealth, his marvelous children!
God said Job is perfect, righteous, fears God and turns away from evil!
5. My dear children, sin not is what count!
C. This is one difference between believe Jesus and not believe Jesus! Matt.6:31-33
1. Jesus said: So do not worry, saying, `What shall we eat?'
or `What shall we drink?' or `What shall we wear?' Matt.6:31
2. For non-believers run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 6:32
3. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 6:33
D. Human were created to live a life that brings glory to God!
1. Prophet Isaiah declared: Isaiah 43:7 --> Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my
glory, whom I formed and made.
2. Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense;
and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. Lev.10:1
3. So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.
4. Moses then said to Aaron: This is what the Lord spoke of when he said:
Among those who approach me I will show myself holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.
Aaron remained silent. Lev.10:3
E. Do you know why be content with what you have and not love money? 1 Tim.6:6-10
1. But godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Tim.6:6
2. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 1 Tim.6:7
3. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 1Tim.6:8
4. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful
desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 1 Tim.6:9
5. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money,
have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grief. 1 Tim.6:10
6. Heb.13:5 repeated it this way: Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye
have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.
So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?
F. We are men of God, not men of the world! Men of God do these:
1. Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who
call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2Tim.2:22
2. Men of God do not fashioned according to the world.
Men of God fashion according to the will of God recorded in the New Testament Bible! Ro.12:2
3. We imitate Apostle Paul as he imitate Christ. 1 Cor.11:1
4. Remember I keep saying, if the world do not follow me as I follow Jesus, I do not follow them.
When the world follow me to follow Jesus with me, then I do not have to follow them!
