A. How bad was Judas?
1. Jesus called his disciples to him and chose 12 of them, whom he also appointed as apostles. Luke 6:13
2. Jesus said: Did not I choose you the 12, and one of you is a devil? John 6:70
3. He spoke of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he was to betray Jesus.. John 6:70-71
4. As we can see Judas had a chance to be like Peter when he was a disciple!
5. Judas had a better chance to be like Peter as an apostle!
6. When Jesus was having a meal with the 12, Jesus said: One of you will betray me! Matt.26:20-21
At this Judas could have changed his way of life for better!
7. They began to ask one after the other: Surely not I, Lord? Matt.26:22
8. Jesus said: The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays
the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born. Matt.26:24
9. Judas asked: Surely not I, Rabbi? Matt.26:25
Attention: The 12 asked the same question: Surely not I, Lord? Judas asked: Surely not I, Rabbi?
10. Being among the people who all believe Jesus is Lord! Judas believed Jesus as a Rabbi!
11. Jesus said: It would be better for him if he had not been born! He still refused to change!
12. Jesus answered him: Yes, it is you. Matt.26:25
As we can see, Jesus had given him the last chance to change!
13. What did Judas do instead? He let Satan entered into him. Luke 22:3
Once this happened, Judas is destined to perish!
14. Are you in a church of Christ? Treasure the blessing and opportunity!
B. Consider these!
1. Judas’ betrayal made Jesus’ body suffered death on the cross!
2. Satan can kill the body but cannot kill the soul! Matt.10:28
3. The worse is the soul suffers eternal agony in hell!
4. Jesus said:
The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life-- only to take it up again. John 10:17
5. As we know Jesus resurrected with a better body! A body that can be at anywhere anytime!
6. Jesus said: For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matt.16:26
7. We can see, the soul is much more important than the body!
8. Which is worse, cause a man’s body to be kill or cause a man’s soul to be in hell?
9. According to what is in the Bible cause a man’s soul go to hell is much worse!
C. Now we now who is worse than the one worse than Judas?
1. Jesus said: Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!
You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces.
You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. Matt.23:13
2. Now think about one who tries to get people from here to other religious organization!
Their souls will all be in hell! This is one who is worse than the one worse than Judas!
3. Forever remember:. Jesus added the saved into the church of Christ. Acts 2:47 KJV.
5. Always ask: Is the name of your church in the Bible?
This will wipe out all churches with name not in the Bible!
D. Conclusion:
1. No matter how dedicated and how much others can do in the name of the Lord!
2. As long as they are not church of Christ, they are destined to perish!
3. Jesus personally put the final touch on both the above statements! Matt.7:21-23
a. Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven. Matt.7:21
b. But only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matt.7:21
c. Many will say to me on that day: Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name,
and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Matt.7:22
d. Then I will tell them plainly: I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers! Matt.7:23
