A. Which is normal and sound? Acts 17:22-29
Man worships the God who created him or man made himself a god to worship?
1. Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: Men of Athens!
I see that in every way you are very superstitious! Acts 17:22
2. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE
UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. Acts 17:23
3. This one amazed me exceedingly! Because the audience were scholars of the time!
4. When I was little, I thought it was because my mother had no education worship man made gods!
My other was ignorant to the point she does not know how to sign her name she put an x instead!
5. Paul was addressing educated people in a highly learned place!
It is possible only when minds are possessed by unclean spirit!
Yes, I stressed the word ONLY here!
6. I have to say, me John Chan is not as educated as these philosophers of Athens!
Even when I was in my young age I feel something is wrong in idol worship!!
7. When kinds of mind invented and worship man-made objects!?
Please figure this out yourself!
B. Jesus is the Christ! Matt.15-18
1. Is it normal and sound for people to say Jesus is the Christ but not be in a church of Christ?
2. Here is how a normal and sound mind would operate!
a. Jesus is the Christ. Matt.16:16
b. Jesus said: I will build my church. Matt.16:18
c. All normal and sound minded people would call this church, church of Christ!
d. Even the RSV Bible knows, the churches in Judea were churches of Christ! Gal.1:22

3. Only unclean spirit possessed mind can believe Jesus is the Christ and be in a not church of Christ!
4. Is it normal for man to pick a name for a church? Please think!
5. Is it normal for a 19 year old teen ager to have a name tag that say elder so and so?
6. What kind of mind do they have?
C. My dear brothers in the Lord!
1. Is it normal for us not to have the same feeling as Paul for our own kinsmen in the flesh?
2. I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing witness with me in the Holy Spirit, that
I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart. Ro.9:1-2
3. For I could wish that I myself were cut off from Christ for my brethren's sake, my kinsmen
according to the flesh. Ro.9:3
4. Brethren, my heart's desire and my supplication to God is for them, that they may be saved. Ro.10:1
5. Now you all should know why I dedicated my life for the gospel to the Chinese people!
6. Yes, 45 years ago we have a group from Texas to N.Y.C. for the gospel of Christ.
Some for American, some for Jews, some for Korean, I came for the Chinese!
7. Romans 9:1-2 and 10:1 was our inspiration! By the grace of God, I am the one remained in N.Y.C.!
D. My dear brothers in the Lord rise up and do this! 2Tim.2:24-26
1. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach,
not resentful. 2Tim.2:24
Yes, become kind to everyone and become able to teach to the gospel of Christ!
2. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance
Leading them to a knowledge fo the truth! 2Tim.2:5
3. And that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them
captive to do his will. 2Tim.2:26
4. You must know assuredly, those no in a church of Christ are in the devil’s trap!
Only the Lord’s servants able to free them with the truth from the devil’s trap!
E. Conclusion: What kinds of mind would call Jesus Lord, Lord and not do what He said?
