3. All know the truth in the Bible correctly! John 8:32

4. All speak the same thing in the church of Christ. Acts 2:47, 1 Cor.1:10

A. Jesus’ believers are forever known to be law abiding!

1. Jesus' example in paying tax. Matt.17:24-27

    a. Tax collector asked Peter: Does you teacher pay the temple tax?  Matt.17:24

    b. Peter replied: Yes, he does. Matt.17:25

    c. Jesus asked Peter: From whom do the kings collect duty and taxes--

from their own sons or from others? Matt.17:25

    d. Peter Answered: From others. Matt.17:26

    e. Jesus said: Then the sons are exempt. Matt.17:26

    f. But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line.

Take the first fish you catch, open its mouth and you will find money.

Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours. Matt.17:27

2. Jesus withheld his Almighty power submitted himself to Roman authority!

He let Romans soldiers arrested him and badly ill-treated him. Matt.26:50-55

3. Jesus conversation with Pilate, the Romans Governor!

Pilate said: Don't you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you? John 19:10

Jesus answered: You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Jn.19:11

4. Jesus submit himself to authority that he lay down his life for them to die on the cross! Jn.10:17-18

Jesus said: The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life-- only to take it up again.

No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.

I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.

This command I received from my Father.

B. Now you may know why Peter and Paul wrote these!

1. Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king,

as the supreme authority. 1 Peter 2:13

2. Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except

that which God has established. Romans 13:1

The authorities that exist have been established by God. Romans 13:1

3.  Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted,

and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. Romans 13:2

4. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be

free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. Ro.13:3

5. For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword

for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Ro.13:4

6. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but

    also because of conscience. Ro.13:5

C. Not one trouble maker only peace maker!

1. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. 1 Cor.10:24

2. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. 1 Peter 3:11

3. Among Jesus’ believers, there is no drunker, fornicator, adulterer, idolater, gambler, smoker,...

4. Clear instructions in the Bible! Titus 3:1-2

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever

is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men.

5. Jesus' believers walk through all nations’ custom freely!

Believe Jesus this way, Acts 2:47 repeat itself all the time!

Praising God, and having favor with all the people.

And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Preach this July 2, 2017.
