God's word is powerful if implanted! 2
The implanted word can save souls! James 1:21
Everyone who believing, in him may have eternal life! John 3:15
A. Believing Jesus, there is no such thing as I can't! Phil.4:13
1. You can be as perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect! Matt.5:48
What else can you say, you cannot do!?
2. God's word says you can do everything, in him that strengthen you! Phil.4:13
3. God's word says ... I will not be mastered by anything! 1Cor.6:12
You can’t say, I can’t quit smoke, can’t stop gamble, can’t stop what hinder your progress in God….
4. You are to do it all for the glory of God! 1 Cor.10:31!
Please remember, we can all do whatever brings glory to God!
B. Yes, there is ‘What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death.’ Ro.7:24
Do not forget the writing continued with these two!
1. Thanks be to God-- through Jesus Christ our Lord!... Ro.7:25
2. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Ro.8:1
3. We can only ask: Are you in Christ Jesus?
If you are in Christ Jesus, you can quit all things that disgrace God!
If you let anything on this earth to master you, you are not in Christ Jesus! 1Cor.10:31
C. Think about these! Heb.1:1-3
1. In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways. Heb. 1:1
2. But in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things,
and through whom he made the universe. Heb.1:2
3. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things
by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of
the Majesty in heaven. Heb.1:3
4. So, can you say, God’s word can’t help you quit all things that bring disgrace to Him?
5. God’s word has power to sustain all things in the universe, but can’t help you quit smoke…?
6. If you can’t quit gamble, the reason can only be you are not in Christ Jesus!
D. God can make Peter become able to write 2 Peter chapter three!
1. Peter was a fisherman! Matt.4:18
2. They perceived that Peter was an unlearned and ignorant man. Acts 4:13
3. Jesus said Peter was one of those so dull men! Matt.15:16!
Peter was not just so dull, he was still so dull!
4. My point is this! Are you going to tell me: God can’t help you quit bad habit?
5. God said, you can do all things to the glory of God! 1Cor.10:31
6. You cannot nullify the power of God’s word! Mark 7:13
7. The Jews forsake God’s word for their tradition! Mark 7:7-13
Jesus said: Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down.
And you do many things like that.
8. Paul had these to say: Romans 3:3
What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?
E. Conclusions: Do you know what does this mean?
The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light,
and the Lamb is its lamp. Rev.21:23
1. This is what it means--> For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God afore prepared that we should walk in them. Eph.2:10
2. This is what it means--> Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matt.5:16
3. This is what it means--> This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you:
God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 1John 1:5
