Peace of mind for life.
Main scripture for this study: Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
A. First step to a peace of mind is repent!
1. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Ro.3:23
This is why the 1st step is to repent!
2. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.Ro.6:23
3. It is either eternal life with God or eternally with the devil!
4. Eternal life is a gift of God, it is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
5. All men be afraid of this one! Heb.9:27
Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,
6. Some how, it is nature, evil people have more reasons to be afraid of death!
They usually, try all they can to run away from being caught!
7. Deep down in their souls, they must know, they will be rewarded for the evils!
B. 2nd step to have times of refreshing is be converted!
1. Sin in the soul is like cancer in the flesh!
Once you know sin is within your soul! You live in fear. You afraid of death also!
2. This is why the second step is be converted!
Be converted, that your sins may be blotted out! Acts 2:38
Believe, repent and be baptized for forgiveness of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
3. Abide in Jesus’ teaching. Jn.8:31-32
To the having believed Jews Jesus said: If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
4. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32
5. Then the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
Attention: Times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord!
5. Live in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, all is well!
C. Psychological prepared! John 14:1-6
1. Close to crucifixion Jesus said these to his disciples: John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. John 14:1
2. On earth and in heaven dwelling place is #1 item for the peace of mind!
In my Father's house are many mansions:
if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Jn.14:2
3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:3
4. Nowadays, in America, we know this well!
One come to America, settle down, bring their family to join him!
5. Jesus promised--> Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. John 14:27
I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
6. Jesus said: I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 6:33
D. Conclusion: After his resurrection Jesus did these: John 20:19-23
1. On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked
for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said: Peace be with you! John 20:19
2. After he said this, he showed them his hands and side.
The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. John 20:20
3. Again Jesus said: Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. John 20:21
4. And with that he breathed on them and said: Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:22
5. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.
Sharing God’s word is the way to have peace of mind for all especially for you!
