The deceitfulness of sin!
Main scriptures for this study: Heb.3:12-15
1. See to it, brethren, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 3:12
2. But exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called To-day; lest any one of you be hardened by
the deceitfulness of sin. Heb.3:13
3. For we are become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end.
4. While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. Heb.3:15
A. In your argument for righteousness sake!
1. About 35 years ago, I encountered a Chinese Bible expert translator!
2. He was a world-wide respected Bible expert scholar!
3. I was privileged to be invited to talk to him in his house! He gave me three book he wrote!
4. I treasure those books. They are in English and well written!
5. On Acts 2:36-38 and Acts 22:16 about human sins forgiven at time of water baptism!
6. He admitted that he neglected that! Saying the he was sorry. All of his life these did not dawn to him!
7. I said: People around the world respected you! You have moral responsibility go back to tell them!
8. At the time he was about 80. His wife said he has a heart condition!
9. After he heard what I said, he was very emotional! I said: Please stop let us drink tea!
10. On my part, up to this point, this become a human normal morality to stop!
tell all those people in all those churches that had fly you to help them understand what says in the Bible!
They trusted you! You cannot just say sorry! You have to trace back to tell them!
11. All I needed was a few more simple words to end his life!
I am a human. I have human dignity I also have human basic instinct and basic morality!
He was such an old style American! My Father in heaven knows, I love and respect these people!
12. Thank God I was not taken by the deceitfulness of sins! The desire to win the argument!
13. I always remember, argument about what says in the Bible is for saving of lives!
B. How and why sin can become deceitful?
1. Take walking across a street!
2. Red light is on. But all people keep walking, no one stop for the red light!
3. You follow the crowd, everyone does it anyway! Who care?
4. Gradually this becomes habitual! Does sin deceitfulness established within you!
5. I often have to hold down people who walked with me!
6. As for me, I let the whole world walk on red light! I wait for the green light!
7. The big problem is this has becomes an innocence, miner, little and not hurt anyone thing!
8. “This is a not hurt anyone” thing is class, easy and effective to establish the deceitfulness of sin!
B. Do not forsake the assembling of ourselves together on Sunday worship! Heb.10:25
1. Saturday is the key! Many have lots to do on Saturday!
2. You have to plan so that nothing hinders the assembling of ourselves together on Sunday!
3. One time you failed and missed the assembling!
4. You say within yourself! God is love, God will not take this one time and put me in hell!
5. There will be next time, when it is the consecutively!
6. If this is you, your faith in the Lord is in jeopardy!
7. If this is your children, they had become liars! They themselves may not know it!
8. Deceitfulness of sin had already established within them!
Ro 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. (KJV)
Ro 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. (KJV)
Ro 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. (KJV)
Ro 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
