1. 1st we must know the daily routine of a soul is feels, thinks, wills and decides!
2. 2 Cor.7:1 should be translated this way!
Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates
body and soul(not spirit), perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
3. Recognize it, there is no cure for a wounded soul in all human history!
4. When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other disciple: What must we do?
5. This cutting pain to the heart is the soul!
6. Peter offered the cure!
Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins…
7. This people have to save themselves! Acts 2:40-42
They accepted the message, were baptized, devote themselves in the teaching of the Apostles!
8. This is the daily routine of the soul!
They feel cutting pain, they think, they will, they decide to take action at once! They were cured!
9. Jesus taught where the soul can find rest! Matt.11:29
B. Jesus’ example! Mark 14:32-42
1. They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples: Sit here while I pray. 14:32
2. He said: My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death! Mark 14:34
3. Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed! Mark 14:34
4. Watch and pray the soul is willing, but the body is weak. Mark 14:38
5. Once more he went away and prayed the same thing. Mark 14:39
6. Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer! Mark 14:42
C. Advises on how we pray!
1. My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long? Ps.6:3
Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love. Palms 6:4
2. The Lord restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake! Palms 23:3
3. I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. Ps.31:7
4. Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. Ps.57:1
5. My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. Ps.62:1
6. Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. Ps.62:5
7. O Lord, the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before you. Ps.88:1
8. May my prayer come before you; turn your ear to my cry. Ps.88:2
9. For my soul is full of trouble and my life draws near the grave. Ps.88:3
***When the soul is full of trouble, the body draws near the grave!
D. Think often about these! Palms 116:7-10
1. Be at rest once more. O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. Ps.116:7
2. For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living. Ps.116:8-9
3. I believed; therefore I said: I am greatly afflicted. Ps.116:10
E. Recognize it, there is no cure among human! Palms 146:1-4
1. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. Ps.146:1
2. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Ps.146:2
3. Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. Ps.146:3
4. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
F. Conclusion:
1. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but can’t kill the soul…. Matt.10:28
2. Request preachers to pray for you! 3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that in all things you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.
3. In your soul always remember Heb.13:6! The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid....
