Preface:
1. Jesus declared. Anyone does not believe Jesus is the Christ will die in sin! Jn.8:24
2. 2000 years ago the church in Corinth, some said they belong to Peter,
some said belong to Paul, some said belong to Apollos, some said belong to Christ!
3. In 1 Corinthians chapter one to three Paul taught them these:
In the church it is different from that of the philosophy in the world.
Each philosophy tagged with the name of the one who taught it!
4. In the church no matter who preach they all preach Jesus' teaching.
5. In 1Corinthians 3:22-23 Paul concluded with these:
Whether Paul or Apollos or Peter or the world or life or death or the present or the
future – all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
6. We are all churches of Christ and at the end we were all be back to be church of God!
7. Apostle Paul put it this way! Romans 16:16--> All the churches of Christ salute you.
A. Church and Christ relation is like husband and wife! Eph.5:31-32
1. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
and the two will become one flesh.
This is a profound mystery-- but I am talking about Christ and the church.
2. In the last 1500 years "Jesus' believers" are divided into many denominations and
each with their own unique brand name!
3. I made up this illustration to wake up all these denomination people!
a. Mr. Not, his wife and daughter walking on the street!
b. His friend met him on the street said with a lovely smile:
c. Mr. Not! So happy to see you! To his wife he said: Mrs. Yes, very happy to see you too!
To their lovely daughter he said: Miss Human you are so pretty!
4. I know this will not happen in all human history on this earth!
5. This is happening everywhere on this earth when comes to the church and Christ!
6. They all claim Christ is husband! But they are happy to be called Mrs. whatever!
7. Will Mr. Not ever come to his sense in his life time?
Walked down a little further, suddenly he stopped and said to his wife and daughter:
Hay, did he just said we are all not human!?
He called me Mr. Not, you Mrs. Yes and daughter Human!
Literally in English this is Not Yes Human! In Chinese it is simply not human! Bu Shi Ren!
8. In the last 1500 years, not one church with name not church of Christ ever wake up!
9. Is there a married woman, not care being call Mrs. Whatever, other than Mrs. Her husband?
B. Jesus purchased the church with his own blood! Acts 20:28
1. Then how can people call this church 1st, 2nd, 3rd Baptist church?
2. Why is it when Mr. Chan bought a house with his money, we all say this is Mr. Chan's house!
3. Is this means Jesus' blood does not count? Mr. Chan's money count for something!
4. Were there ever this way in all human history on this earth?
5. But this is happening for 1500 years among "Jesus' believers"!
6. What kind of human will do such a thing!
7. Forsake assembling in worship to God be ready to be in hell! Heb.10:25-29!
8. What may happen to men trodden Jesus' blood this way!
9. When you bought a ten million dollar house with all cash paid!
Let me sign my name on the deed to the house and call it Mr. Chan’s house!
