Locked up Satan for a 1000 years!
A. Scriptures for this study: Rev.20:1-6
1. And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. Rev.20:1
2. He seized the devil and bound him for a 1000 years.Rev.20:2
3. So that the devil cannot deceive the nations for a 1000 years! Rev.20:3
4. After the 1000 years he must be loosed for a little time. Rev.20:3
5. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them. Rev.20:4
6. And the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God,
and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their
forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Rev.20:4
7. The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. Rev.20:5
8. This is the first resurrection. Rev.20:5
B. The first resurrection is fully disclosed! Rev.20:6
1. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. Rev.20:6
A believer being baptized is a dead, buried and rise with Christ to live a new life! Ro.6:3-4
This is clearly a resurrection and it can only be the first resurrection!
2. Over these being baptized people the 2nd death has not power! Rev.20:6
a. A believer’s baptism is for the forgiveness of his sins! Acts 2:38
b. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? 1Cor.15:55
c. The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 1Cor.15:56
3. They shall be priests of God and of Christ. Rev.20:6
The saved people in the church of Christ are holy priests! 1Peter 2:5
4. They shall reign with Christ a 1000 years! Rev.20:6
5. The 1000 years time is symbolic of a long period of time, as the key, the great chain, abyss, etc.
C. But this is clearly how saved people reign with Christ! Matt.28:18-20
1. Jesus said to them: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matt.28:18
Another word, Jesus was simply declared: From now on, I am the king!
2. All must recognize, it was has been given to me! Not in future tense!
3. Apostle Peter declared this way: Therefore let all Israel be assured of this:
God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:36
4. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations. Matt.28:19
You wish Satan be locked up so he cannot deceive the nations? Go make disciples of all nations!
5. Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit!
Apostle Peter put this way! Acts 2:38
Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of the Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins!
And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit! Acts 2:38
You wish Satan be locked up so he cannot deceive the nations?
Persuade all nations repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ…
6. And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matt.18:20
You wish Satan be locked up so he cannot deceive the nations?
Teach these saved people in the church of Christ to obey what says in the New Testament Bible!
7. Jesus promised: And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age! Matt.28:20
8. We reign with Christ by announcing words of the King, Jesus Christ!
Mark put it this way: Mark 16:15-16
He said to them: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the nations. Mark 16:15
He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but who believes not does will be condemned. Mk.16:16
D. Conclusion:
1. Do you know why in the church of Christ Satan has to pretend that he is an angel of light? 2Cor.11:14
2. The key to lock up Satan from deceiving the nations is saved people rise up to reign with Christ!
3. Yes, rise up make disciples of all nations and teaching them to obey what says in the Bible!
4. Is the name of your church in the Bible? Lock up Satan and all its people!
