What does it mean?
A. I no longer live! Gal.2:20
1. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
2. And Christ died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who
died for them and was raised again. 2Cor.5:15
3. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after
the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 2Cor.5:16
B. One good example: Matt.16:13-23
1. Jesus asked his disciples: Who do men say that I am?
2. They replied: Some say John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah or a prophet!
3. Jesus asked: Who do you say that I am?
4. Peter said: You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!
5. Jesus said: Peter you are blessed. God has revealed this to you! Not men!
6. After this Jesus begin to tell them that he must go to Jerusalem to suffer many things and be killed and raised the 3rd day!
7. Peter took him aside and said: Lord, never! This will never happen to you!
8. Jesus turned around and said to him: Satan, get behind me, you are a stumbling block to me!
You do not have in mind the things of God, but the thing of men!
C. Thinking with man’s view point:--> All about life of the flesh!
1. Jesus must go to Jerusalem to suffer many things! Simply do not go!
2. Jesus must be killed! All our support would be lost!
3. No, this can never happen!
D. Thinking with God’s view point:
1. Yes, why delay! Let us get this behind us as soon as possible!
2. I look forward to the ‘be raised on the 3rd day’!
3. I look forward to have this forever indestructible body!
4. Yes, I look forward to this salvation for all people!
5. Yes, this is what I have been praying for all of my life!
6. May the Father’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
7. Then we will have world with all righteous doing people!
E. Apostle Paul put it this way! Ro. 6:9-13
1. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again.
Death no longer has dominion over him. Ro.6:9
Think about this! No longer afraid to die the physical death! How much problem erased!
2. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. Ro.6:10
3. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Ro.6:11
How does this possible? It is only by being a part of the church of Christ!
4. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Ro.6:12
Hi, all human out there who like to disobey? Disobey all evil desires of your flesh!
5. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness. Ro.6:13
6. Rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life. Ro.6:13
7. And offer the parts of your body to God as instruments of righteousness. Ro.6:13
F. Conclusion: Remember the sermon delivered on March 4, 2018.
Want peace? Follow Jesus! Obey law! Do righteous! Have peace!
1. Follow Jesus. Die to sin. Live to God! Ro.6:10
2. Your “I” no longer live! Let Christ lives in you! Gal.2:20
3. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ! Matt.16:16.
4. Let God rescue you from dominion of Satan and immigrant you to church of Christ! Col.1:13
