Apostle John to the newly baptized people!

Apostle John to the newly baptized people!

A. These things write I unto you that you may not sin. (1 Jn.2:1)

   1. These are instructions to help the saved how to live a life that

      is free from sin.

   2. We must recognize while we live in this world which lies in the

evil one, we are still subject to temptations!

   3. In the process of growing in our salvation, we are still subject

      to stumble!

B. Jesus Christ is our Advocate! (1 Jn.2:1)

And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus

   Christ the righteous.

   1. No one shall ever take this as an excuse to live in sin!

   2. If any man sin, no matter who you are, Jesus Christ the righteous

is our Advocate with the Father.

   3. The Father is the one who forgive sin!

   4. This is why Jesus is at the right hand of the Father to serve

as an Advocate with the Father for us!

   5. This is why Apostle Peter said, after got rid of our sins at the

time of baptism, we must live like new born babies, crave pure

spiritual milk, so that by it we may grow up in our salvation!

C. Jesus is the propitiation of the whole world. (1 Jn.2:2)

By dying on the cross Jesus became the sacrifice for the forgiveness

of our sins.  The whole world can be forgiven the same way!

As Acts 4:12 says, there is no other name by which we may be saved!

Make no mistake about this, there is no other way of salvation!

D. The conditions for forgiveness of sin after baptism! (1 Jn.2:3-6)

1. All who are saved in Jesus must keep the commandments recorded in the New Testament Bible.

2. This is very serious and important!

“He that said, I know him (Jesus), and keep not his commandments is a liar”!  This means there are too many liars in the world!

If you like to be a Christian please keep his commandments!

3. Titus 1:16à They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him.

They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

4. Matt.23:13-->  Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees,

you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces.

You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are

   trying to.

5. Make no mistake about this statement-->  Whosoever keep his word,

in him verily has the love of God been perfected.

This means, it is at the time when we practice what the Bible

says, our love for God is manifested!

6. This is how we know that we are saved in Jesus:

Anyone claims to be in Jesus must live like he lived!

How did he live?  John 4:34, 6:38

"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and

      to finish his work.” (Jn.4:34)

For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the

will of him who sent me. (Jn.6:38)

We know, without food man can’t live!

Without doing the will of God, there is no salvation!
