Preachers in the church of Christ are to be very highly respected by all!
For they are kings with Christ!
Preface:
1. Only Preachers in the church of Christ know the truth that can save your souls! James 1:21
2. Preachers anywhere else do not know the truth! Listen to them be ready to be in hell! 1Tim.4:16
3. Now he that plants and he that waters are one. 1 Cor.3:8
4. But each shall receive his own reward according to his labor! 1 Cor.3:8
5. For we are God’s fellow-workers… 1 Cor.3:9 How much respect should you pay them?!
A. Only people in the church of Christ qualify! Rev.20:6
1. Blessed and holy is he that has part in the 1st resurrection. Rev.20:6
2. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is a death, burial and resurrection with Christ! Ro.6:3-4
3. At time of baptism a person is resurrected with Christ! This is the 1st resurrection!
4. All the people who have a part in the 1st resurrection are people in the church of Christ!
5. These people are priests of God and of Christ. 1 Peter 2:9
6. These people shall reign with Christ a thousand years! Rev.20:6
B. Everyone in the church of Christ can be a king with Christ! Matt.28:18-20
1. Then Jesus came to them and said: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 28:18
2. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matt.28:19
3. And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matt.28:20
4. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matt.28:20
C. Jesus was born to be a king!
1. Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king,
behold, Wise-men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying:
Where is he that is born King of the Jews?
For we saw his star in the east, and are come to worship him. Matt.2:1-2
2. And the angel said unto them: Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy
which shall be to all the people: for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior,
who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11
D. Apostle Paul put it this way! 1Thes.4:1-8
1. Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living.
Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 1Thes.4:1
2. For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 4:2
3. It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality. 4:3
4. That each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable. 4:4
5. Not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God. 4:5
6. And that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. 4:6
The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. 4:6
7. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 4:7
8. He who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit. 4:8
E. Apostle Paul made sure all know these! 1Thes.5:12-13
1. We beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you,
and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you. 1Thes.5:12
2. And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. 1Thes.5:13
F. Conclusion: Every time you stand up to preach, you reign with Christ!
1. Go to all the world preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15
2. He who believes and is baptized will be save! Mark 16:16
3. He who believes not will be condemned! Mark 16:16
4. The above judgments are set by Christ, deliver them by us!
