A. Disciples asked: What shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world? Matt.24:3
1. Yes, it is a sure thing. Jesus will come the 2nd time and the end of the world!
2. Jesus promised: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back
and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. Jn.14:3
3. Angel confirmed: Acts 1:9-11
a. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up;
and a cloud received him out of their sight. Ac.1:9
b. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up,
behold, two men stood by them in white apparel. Ac.1:10
c. Which also said: Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?
This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven,
shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Ac.1:11
B. Paul described the 2nd coming of Christ! 1Thes.4:16-17
1. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 1Thes 4:16
2. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1Thes.4:17
C. Take heed that no man deceive you! Matt.24:4
1. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Matt.24:11
2. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matt.24:12
3. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matt.24:13
4. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;
and then shall the end come. Matt.24:14
5. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world!
It is in all the world where there is habitation there is someone preach in that place!
6. In reality, only the church of Christ is preaching this gospel of the kingdom!
7. Therefore, it is when the church of Christ is everywhere! Then the end may come!
D. There is this thing called psyche attachment between parents and children!
1. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west,
so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matt.24:27
God’s children can see for themselves! No need to be told!
2. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. Matt.24:28
God’s children can feel when the end will come! No need to be told!
3. The saved do these to build their attachment with Christ!
a. Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled
to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Heb.10:22
b. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Heb.10:23
c. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Heb.10:24
d. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one
another-- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Heb.10:25
e. I guarantee, they will know naturally when Christ will come the 2nd time!
E. Do not let false prophet’s signs and wonders fool you!
1. For many will come in my name, claiming, `I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. Matt.24:5
2. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive
even the elect-- if that were possible. Matt.24:24
3. Whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. 2Thes.2:9
F. Conclusion: Common sense easy test for them! When they ask for donation, do these:
1. Let them sell their wedding rings! They do not need these in heaven!
2. See all their houses, buildings, belongings… give you all their money!
3. Let them show their great signs and wonders to pay for their teachings!
