Blind guide’s salvation formula for sinners in the world!
Preface:
1. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Ro.10:13
2. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1Jn.1:9
3. God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life. Acts 11:18
A. Their set pattern:
1. Preaching their word of the Lord.
2. Ask sinners to raise his hand, say: I accept Jesus as Lord of my life.
3. Pray that the Lord to forgive their sins thus you are saved!
B. May the Lord open your eyes and see today!
1. Romans 10:13 was addressed to the baptized saints in the church!
2. 1 John 1:9 was also addressed to the saved people in the church!
3. What does ‘God granted the Gentiles unto life’ mean?
C. Please concentrate and read slowly from verse 1-11!
1. The apostles and the brothers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles
also had received the word of God. Acts 11:1
***This was about Cornelius and his family salvation story in Acts 10!
2. When Peter was come up to Jerusalem,
they that were of the circumcision contended with him. Acts 11:2
***The next verse shed a bit of light on this!
3. Saying: You went in to men uncircumcised, and ate with them. Acts 11:3
*** From Acts 10:28 we know Peter had the same hand up!
Jews were forbidden to associate with Gentiles!
4. Peter began, and expounded unto them in order, saying: Acts 11:4
*** Peter explain what happened in chapter 10!
5. I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision. A vessel
descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven… Acts 11:5-6
6. And I heard also a voice saying unto me: Rise, Peter; kill and eat. Acts 11:7
7. But I said: Not so, Lord.
For nothing common or unclean has ever entered into my mouth. Acts 11:8
8. But a voice answered the second time out of heaven:
What God hath cleansed, make not thou common. Acts 11:9
9. This was done 3 times… Acts 11:10
10. And behold, forthwith three men stood before the house in which we were,
having been sent from Caesarea unto me. Acts 11:11
11. And the Spirit bade me go with them, making no distinction. These six brethren
also accompanied me; and we entered into the man's house. 11:12
12. And he told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying:
Send to Joppa, and fetch Simon, whose surname is Peter who shall speak to
you words, whereby you shall be saved, you and all your house. Acts 11:13-14
13. And as I began to speak,
the Holy Spirit fell on them, even as on us at the beginning. Acts 11:15
14. And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John indeed baptized
with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Acts 11:16
15. If then God gave unto them the like gift as also unto us, when we believed on
the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God? Acts 11:17
16. And when they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God,
saying: Then to the Gentiles also hath God granted repentance unto life.
Conclusion:
1. Acts 11:18 is the conclusive explanation on Cornelius and his family salvation!
2. Jesus’ salvation formulaà He who believes and is baptized will be saved! Mk.16:16
