Believe Jesus is an absolutely decisive matter!
Preface:
1. Like marriage it is everything or nothing!
2. Jesus declared: Our God, the Lord is one!
3. It is heaven or hell there is no in between!
A. Jesus made it clear!
1. If you believe Jesus you have to do what he said!
2. To the Jews who having believed him, Jesus said:
If you abide in my word you are truly my disciples. Jn.8:31
3. Then you will know the truth and the truth will make you free! Jn.8:32
4. Those having believed Jews did not abide in Jesus’ word!
5. Jesus called them liars belong to Satan! Jn.8:44
6. Jesus prepared a lake of fire for them! Matt.25:41
7. Yes, God is love. God is also a consuming fire!
8. God is also faithful and righteous!
B. God said: You shall have no other gods before me! Deu.5:7-9
1. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. Deu.5:8
2. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God,
punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the 3rd and 4th generation of those who hate me.
3. Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you. Deu.6:14
4. For the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you,
and he will destroy you from the face of the land. Deu.6:15
5. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,
for our God is a consuming fire. Heb.12:28-29
6. One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer,
he asked him: Of all the commandments, which is the most important? Mk.12:28
7. Jesus said: The most important one, is the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Mk.12:29
8. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Mk.12:30
C. It is obey Jesus or obey Moses!
1. Jesus said the law and prophet prophecy until John. Matt.11:13
2. Jesus said: You have heard ten commandments #6 says thou shall not murder! Matt.5:21
But I tell you thou shall not be angry with your brother. Matt.5:22
3. Jesus said: You have heard ten commandments #7 says thou shall not commit adultery! Mt.5:27
But I tell you thou shall not see a woman and think adultery! Matt.5:28
4. Paul said: For I make known to you, brethren, as touching the gospel which was preached by me.
That is not after man. For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it,
but through revelation of Jesus Christ. Gal.1:11-12
5. Jesus said: I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. Jn.16:12
6. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own;
he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. Jn.16:13
7. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. Jn.16:14
8. Jesus said all authority on earth and in heaven has been given to me! Matt.28:18
9. Go make disciples of all nations and teach them to obey all what I said! Matt.28:19
D. Conclusion: 1. Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. 2Cor.6:17
2. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, said the Lord Almighty. 2Cor.6:18
