Jesus will come will the reward!
Preface:
1. Reward means dues for work done.
2. There are two kinds of works, works of the flesh and works of the Spirit.
A. To the churches of Christ in Galatia Paul wrote:
1. The works of the flesh are manifest, which are: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Gal.5:19
2. idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, Gal.5:20
envying, drunkenness, reveling, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you,
that they who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal.5:21
3. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Gal.5:22
4. meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. Gal.5:23
5. They that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.Gal.5:24
6. If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk. Gal.5:25
7. For if you live after the flesh, you shall die:
but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live. Ro.8:13
B. At resurrection this will happen! Jn.5:28-29
1. Do not be amazed at this,
for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out— Jn.5:28
2. Those have done good will rise to live,
and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned. Jn.5:29
C. More detail descriptions. Rev.22:12-15
1. Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me,
and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. Rev.22:12
(1) Jesus said: Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming,
in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice. Jn.5:28
(2) And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;
and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Jn.5:29
2. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Rev.22:13
(1) God is eye witness of everything everyone had done in his life time!
(2) What you think and what you do at all-time God is there to watch!
(3) Fatal mistake human made God is not here to see…!
3. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may
go through the gates into the city. Rev.22:14
(1) Robes were designed to cover the whole body to the toes!
(2) Mortify the works of the flesh is the best way to purify ourselves!
(3) Make sure our lives are hidden with Christ in God! Col.3:3
(4) Believe and be baptized into Christ and stay in the church of Christ.
(5) Be faithful till the death of the body! Rev.2:10
4. Always there will be dogs! Rev.22:15
Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers,
the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. Rev.22:15
(1) 2000 years ago Paul called the Jews who insist in practicing circumcision as dogs. Phil.3:2
(2) Here John said these dogs are whose who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral,
the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
(3) All that raise up a Bible but not in church of Christ practice falsehood!
(4) We all know outside of the city mean!
These are human living as dogs! These are not animal dogs!
D. Conclusion: Please be smart, learn what Cornelius did! Ac.10:33
