Watch Satan’s unchanging tactic!
A. God sent Saul to do these! 1 Sam.15:3
1. Attack the Amalekites.
2. Totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them.
Put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.
B. Saul attacked the Amalekites.
He took Agag king of Amalekites alive, and all his people he totally destroyed. 15:7-8
But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle,
the fat calves and lambs-- everything that was good.
These they were unwilling to destroy completely,
but everything that was despised and weak they totally destroyed. 15:9
***Satan always has ‘except this little…’!
C. Always ask only one simple question! Did Saul obey God’s instructions?
Always stick with yes or no! It is always a fatal mistake once you depart from this!
Did Saul obey God? Simply yes or no! Say nothing else!
1. God see it this way! 1 Sam.15:11
Saul has turned away from me. Saul has not carried out my instructions.
2. Watch carefully! What Saul was thinking! 1 Sam.15:13
Samuel, the Lord bless you!
I have carried out the Lord’s instructions.
(To Satan, a part means all!)
3. Stated the evidence and give him a chance to rectify! 1 Sam.15:14
But Samuel said: What then is this bleating of sheep in my ears?
What is this lowing of cattle that I hear? (What then is this name of your church….?)
4. Satan’s people unchanging tactic! 1 Sam.15:15
(I am not at fault!)
Saul answered: The soldiers brought them from the Amalekites;
they spared the best of the sheep and cattle to sacrifice to the Lord your God,
but we totally destroyed the rest. (Our preachers also preach what Bible says!....)
5. God’s way is this! Must always remember! 1 Sam.15:16
"Stop!" Samuel said to Saul. (Shut up! Let’s just see exactly what Bible says!)
"Let me tell you what the Lord said to me last night."
"Tell me," Saul replied. (They pretense to listen! But they ignore whatever you say!)
D. Give him one more chance! 1 Sam.15:18
1. God sent you on a mission, saying:
Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites;
make war on them until you have wiped them out.
2. Why did you not obey the LORD? (Keep repeat what Bible says!)
Why did you pounce on the plunder and do evil in the eyes of the LORD?" 1 Sam.15:19
E. Saul continued to insist that he was not at fault!
1. Saul said: But I did obey the LORD. (Satan’s people always say: We did what Bible says!)
2. Saul said: I went on the mission the LORD assigned me.
3. I completely destroyed the Amalekites and brought back Agag their king. 1 Sam.15:20
4. The soldiers did it!
The soldiers took sheep and cattle from the plunder.
These are the best of what was devoted to God, in order to sacrifice them to the LORD
your God at Gilgal. 1 Sam.15:21
F. Human must forever recognize this one! 1 Sam.15:22
1. But Samuel replied:
Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD?
To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
2. Remember God’s hateful sins! 1 Sam.15:23
For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. 1 Sam.15:23
Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king. 1 Sam.15:23
(God never take part of it for total of it! Satan always take part is the total!)
(You either do all what God says or nothing! Make no mistake on this one!)
G. This is one forever mistake people commit!
1. Confession came too late! His time for repentance was over!
There is no more chance for Saul! 1 Sam.15:24
Then Saul said to Samuel:
I have sinned. I violated the LORD's command and your instructions.
I was afraid of the people and so I gave in to them. 1 Sam.15:24
2. Now I beg you, forgive my sin and come back with me,
so that I may worship the LORD. 1 Sam.15:25
3. The Lord’s way is show no mercy to these kinds of people!
Leave them alone! Let God deals with them. Let them go to hell!
4. Remember what Paul wrote in Titus 3:10-11
Warn a denomination man once and then the second time.
After this, nothing to do with them!
Remember! It is do or not do! Never let part become total!
5. But Samuel said to him: I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the LORD,
and the LORD has rejected you as king over Israel! 1 Sam.15:26
Remember! God takes reject a part as reject the total!
6. As Samuel turned to leave, Saul caught hold of the hem of his robe, and it tore. 1 Sam.15:27
Samuel said to him:
The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today
and has given it to one of your neighbors-- to one better than you. 1 Sam.15:28
7. He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind;
for he is not a man, that he should change his mind. 1 Sam.15:29
8. Saul replied: I have sinned.
But please honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel;
come back with me, so that I may worship the LORD your God. 1 Sam.15:30
Conclusion:
1. Watch, listen and know how denomination people argue for what they do!
You will see exactly the same way!
2. Aaron’s two sons did only one thing God did not command!
Offer strange fire! God sent fire consumed them! Lev.10:1-3
3. In public worship to God on Sundays, one thing not Bible says is total disobey to God!
May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Written December 11, 2018.
