A. The scriptures--> Acts 2:36-42
1. Hear the message. Acts 2:36
Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly.
That God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
2. Message is heard and responded. Acts 2:37
Now when they heard they were cut in their heart.
And said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?
3. Peter told them what they must do. Acts 2:38
And Peter said: Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto
the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
4. Salvation is for these people! Acts 2:39-40
For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,
as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him. Acts 2:39
5. You must save yourselves! Acts 2:40
And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying:
Save yourselves from this crooked generation.
6. They that received his word were baptized! Acts 2:41
They then that received his word were baptized:
and there were added into the church of Christ in that day about 3000 souls.
7. A life-long dedicated service in the church of Christ! Acts 2:42
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' teaching and fellowship,
in the breaking of bread and the prayers.
8. It is the Lord added the saved into the church of Christ! Acts 2:47
Baptized people are to live as children of God!
It is human common sense children are born into the family!
Children do not have a choice!
B. Teacher’s responsibility! 2Cor.6:1-4
1. As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. 2Cor.6:1
2. For he says: In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.
I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. 2Cor.6:2
3. We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. 2Cor.6:3
4. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way:
in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses. 2Cor.6:4
C. Teach wrong message will be condemned more severely! James 3:1
1. Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters,
for you know that we who teach will be condemned more severely!
2. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cross sea and land to make a single covert,
and you make the new convert twice as much a child of hell as yourselves! Matt.23:15
D. Do not wait until this happened! 2Thes.2:9-12
All must know: While God and we work, Satan and his people work too!
1. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all
kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders. 2Thes.2:9
2. And in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.
They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 2Thes.2:9-10
3. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie. 2Thes.2:11
4. So that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness!
E. Test whether you are in Satan’s work!
1. When Bible message is in front of you! What do you do?
2. Think about how to comply! OR Think about how not to comply!
3. If you lean toward how not to comply and think about how to rebuff!
You are in Satan’s trap! You are hopeless!
F. Today you have heard the message of salvation! What will you do?
1. Figure out how to comply! 2. Figure out how not to comply!
3. Figure out how to rebuff! 4. Bad mouth about the preacher to cover up your own wickedness!
