How to live in a time when "the days are evil"?

How to live in a time when "the days are evil"?

Scriptures for this study: Eph. 5:15-17

Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time,

   because the days are evil.

Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Word Translation: (Eph.5:15-17) (Original Greek Bible word for word translation)

See ye therefore carefully how ye walk 4043, not as unwise but as wise 4680,

redeeming 1805 the time, because the days 2250 evil 4190 are.

Therefore be ye not foolish but understand what the will of the Lord.

Ye walk 4043--> to regulate one's life.

(The numbers are Greek dictionary numbers, for those who are not very good in Greek))

   Ro.13:13-14

Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness,

not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy.

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh,

   to the lusts (thereof).

   Eph.4:1-3

I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling

wherewith ye were called,  with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering,

forbearing one another in love; giving diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

   1 Thes.4:11-12

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands,

just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will

not be dependent on anybody.   Is this contrary to Phil.2:4?

Not looking each of you to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.

wise 4680-->One whose action is governed by piety and integrity.

(Piety and interity are always together! One can't have one without the other!)

   James 3:13

Who is wise and understanding among you?

let him show by his good life his works in meekness of wisdom.

Redeeming 1805-->using your time wisely as using money!

Such as when you buy something for personal use!

Days 2250--> a time demons are making troubles for Christians.

   2 Tim. 3:1-5

But know this, that in the last days grievous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers,

disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, implacable,

slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, traitors, headstrong,

puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness,

but having denied the power therefore. From these also turn away.

evil 4190-->a time full of peril to Christian faith and steadfastness.

Eph 6:13 (Conclusion:)   Wherefore take up the whole armor of God,

that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

May the Lord bless you and keep you!
