A. No lawsuits among believers! 1Cor.6:7
1. The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already.
2. Why not rather be wronged?
3. Why not rather be cheated?
4. Do not love the world or anything in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1Jn.2:15
5. For everything in the world-- the cravings of the flesh, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what
he has and does-- comes not from the Father but from the world. 1Jn.2:16
6. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. 1Jn.2:17
7. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
What is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2Cor.4:18
B. We do not lose heart!
1. Not as many receive the gospel we preached? We do not lose heart!
2. Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 2Cor.4:3
3. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers,
so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2Cor.4:4
4. Therefore we do not lose heart.
Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2Cor.4:16
5. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
6. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2Cor.4:18
C. Yes, do all things without murmuring and disputing! Phil.2:14-16
1. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked
and perverse nation,
2. among whom ye shine as lights in the world. Holding forth the word of life;
3. that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.
D. When comes to things about salvation of souls!
1. Earnestly contending the truth in the New Testament Bible! Jude 1:3
Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to
write and urge you to earnestly contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.
2. Contending together as one man for the faith of the gospel! Phil 1:27
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.
Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence,
I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel.
3. A lifelong enjoy in doing these! 2Tim.2:22
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace,
with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
4. Sharply dispute and debate these people! Acts 15:1-2
Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers:
Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.
This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them.
So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers,
to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.
5. Nothing to do with these people! 1 Tim.6:3-5
If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ
and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing.
He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy,
strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind,
who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. 1Tim.6:3-5
6. Nothing to do with these people! Titus 3:10-11
7. Nothing to do with these people! 2Jn.1:10-11
Conclusion. I’d rather be doing this! Acts 19:8
Paul entered the synagogue, and spoke boldly for 3 months,
disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. Ac.19:8
