Purpose of preaching is to save one’s own soul and other’s souls!
Watch your life and doctrine closely.
Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1Tim.4:16
A. When people resisted the truth move on! Acts 18:4-8
1. Yes, let them go to hell!
2. Every Sabbath Apostle Paul reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks. Ac.18:4
3. When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching,
testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. Ac.18:5
4. But when the Jews opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them:
Your blood be on your own heads! I am clear of my responsibility.
From now on I will go to the Gentiles. 18:6
5. Then Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titius Justus, a worshiper of God. Ac.18:7
6. Crispus, the synagogue ruler, and his entire household believed in the Lord;
and many of the Corinthians who heard him believed and were baptized. Ac.18:8
B. Be sure they all worship in church of Christ!
1. Otherwise you make them twice son of hell! Matt.23:15
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte;
and when he is become so, ye make him twofold more a son of hell than yourselves.
2. Otherwise their “Christian living” becomes doing evil! Matt.7:22-23
3. Their eating the Lord’s supper become eat and drink damnation to themselves! 1Cor.11:27-29
C. Waste no time recognizes these!
1. Some are born to live as dogs! Matt.7:6
Jesus said: Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs.
If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
***Thank God, this cannot happen in U.S. We have law to protect us!
But why do we want to help those determine to go to hell to know the truth!
Watch what happen to the rich man in Luke 16:23! He has no time to enjoy knowing the truth!
2. Some are born to live as brute beasts!! 2Pe.2:12
But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand.
They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed,
and like beasts they too will perish.
3. Some are born to become wild beasts! 1Cor.15:31-32
I die every day-- I mean that, brothers-- just as surely as I glory over you in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus for merely human reasons, what have I gained?
If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.
D. Thank God there are churches of Christ people! Eph.1:3-9
1. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Eph.1:3
2. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. Eph.1:4
3. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ,
in accordance with his pleasure and will -- Eph.1:5
4. to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. Eph.1:6
5. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's
grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. Eph.1:7-8
6. He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ.1:9
E. Verify with what Bible says!
1. NIV Bible translated by 115 experts with 10 years hard work!
2. How can I found these wrong translations in the NIV Bible?
Gen.2:7, Pro.2:7, Matt.5:3, Lk.17:20-21… Would anyone say I did better than their 115 Bible experts?
3. The only normal conclusion: God purposed it this way! Eph.1:7-9
4. Do denomination people know denomination people are warped, sinful and self-condemned? Titus 3:11
5. Yes, the easy one is ask them how to be perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect. Matt.5:48
