A. You can believe and abide in Jesus’ word!
1. Church of Christ has this motto for living! 1 Peter 4:11
a. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.
b. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides.
c. So that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
d. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 4:11
2. Jesus promised these people will know the truth! Jn.8:31-32
3. And then the truth will set them free! Jn.8:32
4. Not in church of Christ? Never have the truth! Can’t be free!
B. Christ personally guarantees your salvation!
1. If any man will to do God’s will, he shall know of the doctrine,
whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. Jn.7:17
a. Apostle Peter said it this wayà Save yourselves… Acts 2:40
b. Each one is to will to do the will of God!
c. Once you will to do the will of God, God guarantees your salvation!
d. If you will to do the will of God you will go to the church of Christ!
e. Each Sunday you can go to church of Christ but you choose not to!
f. This show you will not to do the will of God!
2. Within these people there is no unrighteousness! Jn.8:18
***This means your salvation is guaranteed!
3. Jesus said: My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. Jn.10:27
***If you follow Jesus naturally you will go to the church of Christ!
4. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. Jn.10:28
5. I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you.
Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—
the name you gave me-- so that they may be one as we are one. Jn.17:11
6. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church,
and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Matt.16:18
7. The Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:47
C. Apostle Paul put it this way!
1. All saved people are in one body! Ro.12:4-5
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Ro.12:4-5
2. Christ made it his body! Eph.1:22-23
And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. Eph.1:22-23
***Anyone attacks a saved person attack Christ himself!***
3. Do not be afraid of those who oppose you! Phil.1:27-28
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.
Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence,
I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel
without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you.
This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved-- and that by God.
4. You can do the good you want to do! Ro.7:15-25
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Ro.7:15
And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. Ro.7:16
As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. Ro.7:17
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.
For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. Ro.7:18
For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do-- this I keep on doing. Ro.7:19
Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 7:20
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Ro.7:24
Thanks be to God-- through Jesus Christ our Lord! Ro,7:25
