A life that has a constant fixed goal!

                A life that has a constant fixed goal!

A. The scripture for this study: (Phil.1:20)

   According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame,

   but (that) with all boldness, as always, (so) now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,

   whether by life, or by death.

B. This is my earnest expectation and hope! Phil.1:20

   1. What I wish and what I do and this is what I live for-->

      “In nothing shall I be put to shame”!

      I keep my conscience clear to God and to all people!

      Please always remember, conscience is clear to God, not to myself and not to others!

      I have done nothing to disgrace God that counts!

      For my conscience is clear to others, all I need to do is be a little better than others!

      That is enough to make me feel that my conscience is clear to all others!

   2. Nothing I do to others will put me to shame!

      Have you done anything to others that made you feel bad?

   3. Nothing others do to me, can put me to shame!

      Has anyone done anything upset you?

      Watch out how you respond!C.

C. Dead or alive Christ shall be magnified in my body! Phil.1:20

   1. Let not sin reign in your body, do not obey the lusts of the body,

      neither present parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness,

      but present your body unto God, as alive from the dead as instruments

      of righteousness unto God. Ro.6:12-13

   2. For if you live after the flesh, you must die;

      but if you live by the Spirit, you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Ro.8:13

   3. How do we accomplish the above 2 items?

      a. While living as a child of God, I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage;

      lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected! 1 Co.9:27

      By the way, please beware of this is a deadly mistake:

      Don’t blame the preacher for your un-believe in Jesus!

      As Paul said here, a preacher can preach the truth but die in sin!

      Those do what he preached can still be saved in heaven!

      Jesus put it this way! Matt.23:1-5-->

      Then spake Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples, saying,

      the scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses seat:

      all things therefore whatsoever they bid you, (these) do and observe:

      but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not.

      Yea, they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders;

      but they themselves will not move them with their finger.

      But all their works they do to be seen of men: for they make broad their phylacteries,

      and enlarge borders of their garments…

   4. Always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus,

      that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body! 2 Co.4:10

   5. As I said last Sunday, Jan., 18, 2009,

     “Anyone claimed to be a believer of Jesus and is not a trust worthy person, his claim itself is a lie!”

      Let no one deceived themselves and let no one deceived you!

      Always remember: A Christian has to be a trustworthy person! (Eph.5:15)

      One who is not trust worthy is not a Christian!

      Jesus said, liars are children of Satan!  John 8:44D.

D. Conclusion:

   A saved person’s constant fixed goal in life is-->

     “In nothing shall I be put to shame”.

      May the Lord bless and keep you forever! January 21, 2009.
