A. This is how much God love us!
1. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Jn.3:15
2. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Jn.3:16
3. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 1Jn.3:16
4. Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. Jn.15:13
5. God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Ro.5:8
B. God also show us how we must respond to his love for us!
1. If you love me, you will obey what I command. Jn.14:15
***It is clear and simple! No normal minded people can say I do not know!
2. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- the Spirit of truth.
The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him.
But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. Jn.14:16-17
***Those in churches of Christ get to know this!
C. Apostle John explains this for us! 1Jn.5:3-8
1. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome. 1Jn.5:3
2. For everyone born of God overcomes the world.
This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1Jn.5:4
3. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes Jesus is the Son of God. 1Jn.5:5
4. This is the one who came by water and blood-- Jesus Christ.
He did not come by water only, but by water and blood.
And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 1Jn.5:6
5. For there are three that testify: The Spirit, the water and the blood;
and the three are in agreement. 1Jn.5:7-8
***Read what Peter preached in Acts 2:38 you will know!
6. Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.
And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
D. God build us into one body of Christ!
1. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Ro.12:4-5
2. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts;
and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 1Cor.12:12
3. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-- whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—
and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 1Cor.12:13
4. As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 1Cor.12:20
E. Apostle Paul explains it this way for us! Eph.5:25-31
1. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. Eph.5:25
2. To make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself
as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. Eph.5:26-27
3. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies.
He who loves his wife loves himself. Eph.5:28
4. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church--
for we are members of his body. Eph.5:29-30
5. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
and the two will become one flesh. Eph.5:31
6. This is a profound mystery-- but I am talking about Christ and the church. Eph.5:32
F. Conclusion:
1. God love us so much that he build each of us into the body of Christ! Eph.1:22-23
God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
2. It is natural as in wedding ceremony that says till death do us part!
3. Believe Jesus is like marriage God build us together as the one body of Christ!
Let man not separate!
