1. Church of Christ is in the Bible!
2. The name of their church is not in the Bible!
3. This is not about important or not important!
This is about in the Bible or not in the Bible!
Jesus said: Let your yes be yes and your no be no! Beyond this is from the devil! Matt.5:37
4. Is the name of your church in the Bible?
This simple question is enough to expose them!
C. Human hearts were cut!
1. God had made this Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ! Ac.2:36
2. When people heard this, they were cut to the heart... Ac.2:37
They asked: Brothers what must we do? Ac.2:37
3. 50 years ago when I said to a person: You do not believe Jesus according to the Bible!
They all reacted with great emotional distress!
We challenge you to study with our pastor! ... They really believed their pastor can defend them!
D. Bible example as recorded: Ro.2:7-10
1. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 2:7
2. For those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. 2:8
3. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil:
first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; Ro.2:9
4. but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Ro.2:10
***5. Believe Jesus not according to the Bible is done reject the truth and follow evil!
E. Real life example one:
1. 45 years ago Mr. Yang a devoted zealous preacher! We study one evening for hours!
2. Ended with: You do not belong to church of Christ and do not preach what Bible says!
3. The way you preached, you cannot save yourself cannot save others!
4. What it is point? Drop out of preaching go enjoy your life!
5. His reaction --> Sold his business got his money went preaching all over South East Asia!
6. Two years later I received his call from Florida! Hi, brother Chan this is Brother Eugene Yang!
I am your brother now! I came back to America and got baptized by an elder in Hialeah Florida....
7. What you said 2 years ago kept ringing in my mind!
Church of Christ is what I want to belong! I want to live and preach according to the Bible!
F. Real life example two:
1. 43 years ago a college age young man here in Flushing!
2. After Bible study he was ready to be baptized for forgiveness of sin...
3. He wanted to talk to his mother! The next day he came and cried bitterly!
4. My mother said I cannot get baptized according to the Bible …
5. She said the Baptist church down the block was good to us while my father died few years back!
We have to be members of the Baptist church as long as we live!!
6. This is a classic example! Baptist people insist to be Baptist for life!
7. I can insist to be in church of Christ for life!
G. Jesus said before end of the world these will happen! Matt.24:11-14
1. Many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Matt.24:11
2. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matt.24:12
3. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matt.24:13
4. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;
and then shall the end come. Matt.24:14
H. Conclusion:
For your salvation and mine we all have to insist live and preach according to the Bible!
